I watched that play a few times now. The one where Frerotte throws a pass to McMichael and it deflects off his pads into a Saints DBs hands. Then, the DB runs it out of the endzone and trips over his own player resulting in a fumble that Miami recovered. Remember that play?
Well, if you look closely, Frerotte runs his *** off right after it is picked off. He cuts in front of the intercepting DB's running lane, and that causes the DB to cut back away from the sideline. He is unable to see his own teammate on the ground because his view is blocked by Frerotte. After doing all that and running out of the play, Frerotte then is the first person on the fumbled football. He doesn't get the recovery, but all his effort created a fortunate turnover for Miami.
There is no way that you could have seen all that when the game was broadcasted. It all happened so fast. It was a crazy play. I just wanted to give Frerotte some credit for all that hustling after the INT. He certainly made up for it and contributed in getting the ball back in a hurry. :)
