Crazy that people get so irrate for us cutting a backup LB

yeah wake was so amazing as a find by them he was inactive for the first 2 games of the 09 season while joey p and jason taylor did the 2 step with every tackle we played and mannings jersey never even got a hint of dirt on it...and all season long sparano told us how wake needed to work on his run d thus he wasn't playing while i watched joey p do nothing but rush up the field forgetting any semblance of run responsibility

they lucked into cam wake and it took them forever to realize what they had...when you got a pass rusher like that in hand you don't not play him cause he's not great vs the run...you let that guy learn on the job and tell him to hunt the qb

You make it sound like JP & JT were scrubs, I guess thats apart of your incredible talent evaluation. There was a reason Wake was in the CFL incase you forgot that it was us that found him out of 32 teams & he has seemed to turn out pretty good, AGAIN a perfect example of always searching to be upset about something, I mean your mad about Wake who is a playmaker that is on OUR team. I'm not saying this FO is flawless all I'm saying is it's easy to be an armchair QB & call out every move they make.

actually in 09 JP and JT were borderline sc rubs. Yes they had a bunch of sacks that padded their own stats, but they left much to be desired. All I remember is all the **** JP talked that he never came close to backing up. Remember the NE game when he talked so much **** about them, then he didnt record not one tackle.

Washed up in 09, yeah he showed in 2008 w/17.5 sacks that he would be washed up the next season.
 
"You guys don't understand!" That is the favorite line. What might be better in one sharing their opinion is that they stay away from overgeneralizing the views of others and using stereotypes and all that. Anything that implies that any one of us is "smarter'" than the other, or better at understanding is what often stirs up on this board. All of us hopefully are seeking truth in what ever form it comes in.

no he saved the washed up part for the games in 09...meanwhile wake who was the best pass rusher on this roster even in the preseason (and yes this armchair qb called it then even) sat the bench but was the most productive 3rd down pass rush pressure player in the league...
 
I dont think its about people thinking they are the best talent evaluators, or know it all. Its more about the fact that this kid was PRAISED to be the best cover LB and how bad we needed a cover LB and now that we got Burnett hes no longer needed? Not to mention Spilter IMO looked like dog crap in all the preseason games. Again i am no nfl scout and i prob know nothing compared to most of the "scouts" but I can tell u when a LB can play LB or cant, and Edds looked way better considering he had an ACL injury. I know he was gonna take time to get back into full game shape and prob had lost a step due to the injury but he still looked better then Spitler. Also Edds was a 4th rd pick and spitler was a7th, not that a 7th rd pcik cant beat out a 4th or 3rd or even 2nd rd pcik for that matter but again we continue to cut draft picks...we suck @ drafting, we should trade all of our picks for proven plaeyrs and just sign UDFA because we seem to be good at that.

If they go from raving about the guy to cutting him, do you not think something either happened or he wasn't good enough? They wouldn't just let him go for no reason if they liked the guy.
