crazy things you have done.....

I went to work the next day after the Jets made that huge comeback win on that Monday night game. I worked with a Jet fan at the time. I guess that was kinda crazy. (It was also my b-day, and I had to hear that crap.)

Set Calander

I live in Jersey, so most of my family/friends don't get my liking the Dolphins. I don't miss games, so when the schedule is made, I send it out via email. Weddings, birthdays, funerals, and other engagements are off list from that point on. So far I have been lucky, only missed 1 wedding, 1 christening, and a handful of parties. My girlfriend is cool w/ it and watches the games w/ genuine interest (she was raised a Giants fan). Of those missed events, she only attended her niece's christening and an engagement party. I hope no one croaks in season, else I won't be there. Heck, when we have kids I'll plan conception so I don't have to miss a game to be in the delivery room!

"I'll TiVo a Canes game, but the Fins MUST be savored LIVE!

Ask me this same question a year from now, I have been dating this cool (and pretty hot) girl for the past six months, we made a deal when we first started seeing each other that she is not to say anything bad about the Hurricanes or the Dolphins and she can only talk to me in between rounds during a boxing match, and in turn I am not to poke fun of the Boston Red Sox. Being that she is from Rhode Island, she is a Patriots fan too and within the past couple weeks she has started to get a little bold, like constantly bringing attention to them winning the SB these past couple years, telling me that there are moe important things that I could be doing other than watching Dan get inducted, etc... I have a feeling thatI will have plenty of stories after this season is over.

Which brings me to an important question, which one of my Dolphin brothers out there is going to help me dig a hole out in a field somewhere in case this b!tch REALLY decides to get out of line on 11/13?

Count me in. :rawk:

I can tell everyone that it is VERY DIFFICULT to watch the game at a "Gentlemen's Club".

Thank God for commercials.....

Dolphins & Lap Dances. Is there anything close to that being a perfect Sunday?

You remember the guy who threw his inlaw's 50th aniversery cake out on the lawn and told his wife to go to the party her F'in self???
Lost his marriage.
WINNER!!!! :goof:

I think the runner-up was the guy whose wife was a Bills fan and they got into a huge argument during the game, so he left her, right then and there. Admittedly, he said the marriage was lousy to start with, but still.

My wife, bless her heart, is very understanding. We're moving into our new house right now, and one of the first things we did was get DirecTV and the NFL Sunday Ticket. My plan is to, ultimately, turn the finished basement into a mini-sports bar, with games on 3 different TVs. She is totally cool with this.

Why on earth would you ever want to watch a game at a strip joint? You've got two things that command undivided attention going on at the same time. Plus, the beer's, like, $5 per.

I'm a woman and I wouldn't want to be with any man whose answer to that question would be me! Dolphins first, all else is second.

Hey Sweetie! Are you married?

1) I was pretty tight with the staff, so beers weren't $5 per & I didn't pay a cover.

2) Watching the Phins with half nekkid chicks ROCKS! SERIOUSLY!

I live in Kansas...NOT A CHIEFS FAN! The day after the dolphins lost to the chiefs 2 years ago in Kansas City, I got back to work to find my desk decorated in chiefs stuff from top to bottom..they were just trying to play a little joke on me...well lets just say that I was a little hung over and not in the mood to hear it from chiefs fans...I had to put up with them the whole darn game and just about got in a couple of fights...but anyway..instead of taking it like a good sport..i literally threw every chiefs thing that was on my desk out into the hall way..breaking about half of the stuff...The people that set it up didnt expect that! My boss decided that she needed to have a talk to me about that and after that I was on a short leash because she was a cheifs fan.

I drove 45 miles through three feet of blowing snow off of a mountain in a 1986 Honda Prelude that didn't have a drivers window to a sports bar in the city for the 1996 Phins/Jets game. The bar owner wanted to close because of the storm with around ten minutes to go in the fourth quarter and I told him I would mail him money to let me see the end. I sat in the bar as the only patron while they mopped and did the dishes. He even gave me free food....

My buddy decided to have his wedding on a cruise last November. I was the best man so I had to go.......not that I'm complaining about a free cruise to the bahamas, but it was over a weekend, Phins were playing the Cardinals (Nov 6th I think??).

So that Sunday we docked in Nassau and did a whole morning tour....till about noon where everyone in the group, bride, groom and my new wife (of about 2 months) included. I demanded that we go to Senor Frogs cause I thought they would have the best chance of having the game on. Well everyone absolutly HATED it there, but I wasn't leaving, the game was coming on. Everyone left me and my wife there....and after about a half hour, she started to nag that I was ridiculous and she wasn't spending her vacation time watching a football game, so I told her to leave then.....she spent 2 hours wandering around Nassau all by herself while I stayed to watch the game and got plastered. she had me so heated that I drank way too much to be in a place where they weren't speaking english....and I don't even remember the end of the game.

a sea story (among swabies this is known as a no-shiitter)

In 1972 onboard a submarine we had missed two playoff games at sea and made port on a Monday for two weeks. On Wednesday the Commodore of the Squadron wanted a live submarine for some tracking excersises, Thursday we go to sea... I am totally bummed. One of my shipmates, who had not been feeling well developed acute appendicitis. Late Friday night the Corpsman told the Captain that Joe's life was now in danger and needed surgery. The Captain moved us towards port but conditions were awful. To rough to even consider a small boat transfer or chopper pick up. We arrived late afternoon at the Cooper River bouy leading into Charleston Naval Station and it was foggy with visability in patches less than 200 yards. The Commodore told the Captain plainly on an open circuit not to enter. My Captain tersly replied "my boat, my crewman. I'll see you in port." We ran the Cooper River that evening at a 2/3rds bell in the dark and fog without tugs until the Naval Station miles up the crooked river. The Captain parked us like we were his sportscar and we got Joe off just in time. His appendics burst as they opened him up that night but he recovered fine. The next day was the Superbowl and I got to see my Dolphins finish undefeated.

I just tell my girlfriend that I am going to become a beer drinking, wing eating, football watching machine for the next few hours... watch with me or go somewhere else! I converted her into a Dolphin fan. She loves beer and wings!
