crazy things you have done.....

I had been at a bar 45 minutes away with my friend watching the 1 and 4 oclock games. Miami was on Sunday night football so My friend and I drove 45 minutes back to my house to watch the game. But when I drove up on my street the FBI and Police had the road blocked because everyone in the area had been evacuted because of a chemical spill earlier in the afternoon. I talked to the cops and they told me that it was ok if I went home to get some things and check on my girlfriend. Once back in the house I turned on the game and stayed the rest of the night there while my girlfriend went to someones house my neighbor knew.

I want to know what are some of the things you have went through to watch a fins game? ill give you 2 of mine

1.went to watch a fins game on my lunch break, boss called me after 2 hours and told me to come back or i was fired, i stayed to watch and got fired, i was there for 5 years! normaly i had sundays off!

2.went to a sportsbar they would not show the fins game, had to drive 20 min to the nearest sports bar on the way my car blew a hose, i kept going and blew my motor up (cheep car anyway) made kickoff had to be towed home.

I know losing your job and blowing up you car is dumb

Why on earth would you ever want to watch a game at a strip joint? You've got two things that command undivided attention going on at the same time. Plus, the beer's, like, $5 per.

Well it is cheaper than at the stadium. :D

Up'd and moved to Miami from the midwest. NO job, no prospects, no family, no friends, rented an apartment over the phone w/o ever seeing it, left my girlfriend of 6 years... BUT I did have season tickets.

Saw all of the games that year! It was Danny's last year. I HAD to go. :)

a sea story (among swabies this is known as a no-shiitter)

In 1972 onboard a submarine we had missed two playoff games at sea and made port on a Monday for two weeks. On Wednesday the Commodore of the Squadron wanted a live submarine for some tracking excersises, Thursday we go to sea... I am totally bummed. One of my shipmates, who had not been feeling well developed acute appendicitis. Late Friday night the Corpsman told the Captain that Joe's life was now in danger and needed surgery. The Captain moved us towards port but conditions were awful. To rough to even consider a small boat transfer or chopper pick up. We arrived late afternoon at the Cooper River bouy leading into Charleston Naval Station and it was foggy with visability in patches less than 200 yards. The Commodore told the Captain plainly on an open circuit not to enter. My Captain tersly replied "my boat, my crewman. I'll see you in port." We ran the Cooper River that evening at a 2/3rds bell in the dark and fog without tugs until the Naval Station miles up the crooked river. The Captain parked us like we were his sportscar and we got Joe off just in time. His appendics burst as they opened him up that night but he recovered fine. The next day was the Superbowl and I got to see my Dolphins finish undefeated.

Wow..now that's a story.

:shakeno: I can't count the number of girlfriends I've lost by blurting the ingenious line "But I loved the Dolphins before I loved you!"...After about he 4th or 5th time..I learned to duck right after saying it. It became a reflex. :rofl3:

The craziest thing i ever did was durring the miami denver game of 1999 dan thrw a td pass and i was operating a forklift and i was so excited i drove the forklift into the breakroom and almost raanover a jets fan.
