I know, I know. Please let me explain why.

He is finally healthy after dealing with a couple of years of injury's for starters. He still has a ton of talent and we could get him back from the Rams for next to nothing. He is currently in an offence that does not focus on passing to the TE's and is still quietly having a solid start. I think he could come in a pick right up where Martin left off and would help Fasano's numbers just like Martin did.

Just a thought and yes I also think we need to get a #1 like Bowe or Evens and for some reason think something is in the air with that. Lets hope.

I distinctly remember watching a game earlier thisseason and saw a pass to Randy in the numbers dropped.

I could only recall telling myself "same old Randy"

I don't know what you mean by "same old randy" ... that guy was a very good TE for us in the early decade...

right now he's nothing like he once was and i don't think we need/want him

I don;t think we need him, but I'd be happy to see him back on our team

I was under the impression that he dropped a lot of key passes that would have been 1st downs the year before we let him go.

I'm not saying he would be in his old role of up and coming super star (something that never materialized) but he seems like at this stage of his career he would be very similar to what David Martin was for us last year.

Randy and Chambers both would make crazy catches that make your mouth drop and then drop the easiest pass in the clutch. No thanks.

I'm sorry. When you said Martin in other post, I was thinking that you said like he was when we thought he would be great and gave us reason to believe that... Now after re reading it, I see my mistake.

I got into an attack mode that made me see what I wanted to see.

I apologize.

I would be more than happy to see Chris Chambers on the end of some of Henne's passes myself..

Have no idea regarding his contract status in SD.

By the way, where the heck were you to be watching a Rams game? I don't even think televise their games in St. Louis.

I think he was refering to the Randy McMichael that would have an amazing catch and drop three easy ones right in his mittens.

I'm alright with our TE's. Let Randy be.

Martin had pretty sure hands. McMichael never did. Did he make some plays here and there, sure, but he's unreliable. Can't have that. We need consistency.

Fair enough, like I said crazy idea and everyone has convinced me its not a good move. Oh well back to the lab lol.
