Me: "Win the opener, and play good enough to make 4 qtr games"
That was a bit of a convo me and me bro had before the start of the year. Ive always been a fan that understands that we need time to turn the corner and with these really low expectations i was giving Saban and the team a chance to meet these and make me happy.
Anyway, we go 2-1, im starting to get carried away and was thinking maybe something could do something this year....then we slumped to 3-7. I still realised this team was a 4-12 team in '04 but i did start to question parts on sabans coaching. This was through emotion not heart.
Now, i have to say, props to Nick. It doesnt matter to me how a team plays despite the fact we are fantastic atm as long as they get the win. He has us 6-7, and look at the teams we have beat....
Denver (Gonna win divsion?)
Carolina (Division winners?)
Saints (We lose that game last year)
Oakland (Away, hard to do at thier place)
Buffalo (Hated rival!!)
San Diego (Wild card?)
We ALMOST beat the Pats and could have gone to OT with the Falcons....this is incredible....Nick Saban, you have my credit, i didnt give it to you for so long, but now you have it!
Its near impossible to get to the play-offs but 9-7 could be on the cards....September 06 WHERE ARE YOU!!!!!
