Cris Carter: Dolphins have most-improved offensive backfield

Cris Carter isn't an exactly a trust worthy source when it comes to football.

He obviously never watched the games and only read the stats. AJ made some INTs, but was clearly progressing as the season went on and throw less INTs every game he played. He has also been noted as throwing the ball spot on and yet Chris says the opposite. If AJ cuts out the INTs he can be just as good as any QB sans the obvious because he can make all the throws.

Actually, he was predicting bad times for the phins even before Ricky left. He may not be a great guy, but I think he's pretty knowledgable and objective.

And he says the Vikings have a chance at the superbowl

They sure as heck have a better chance this year then last year.

He's not the only one. Peter King has them going to the SB as well. I think they'll be more focused without Randy Moss, but I think the loss of Linehan may hurt them.

3 people that should never comment on the dolphins.

Wanny, Fielder, and Cris Carter.

Reading that makes me think that we got 4 wins with a Morris/(insert crappy or hurt RB), and this we could have a Ronnie/Ricky backfield.... I likeeeyyy

Of course you do.

You added who your staff thought would be the best of three top quality RB prosepcts, you'll have Lamar Gordon who is a decent back, and you have the return of Ricky, who WAS one of the top 3 backs in the league.

Its kinda hard to say an agregate of 3 number ones and a 3rd in your backfield isn't the most improved. At least potentially.

Just having Gordon play a whole year would have upgraded our backfield last year. Getting our o-line to open some hole's is the problem, because I know these guys can run through them and pick up yards...

Agreed, he was identifying problems on the Dolphins offensively way before the fans saw the problems. He said the Dolphins offensive playbook was a mess and the O-line was a disaster.
