I'm just saying, we all hated the hype Sanchez got after three games, and now look at him struggling. Its great to see, but he's inexperienced, and he naturally was going to struggle.

Now, we see Henne for two games, one solid, one really good, but there is way to much assumption he's the guy after just two games. I mean he is playing behind a good offensive line and is supported by a great running game.

A couple of weeks of tape on Henne gathered by opposing D's, games where the running game struggles, and you never know, Henne could have a 5 INT game himself.

I'm just saying hold the parades, we don't want to be like the over-assuming Jets fans who have fallen flat on their faces over "Sanchise."

Your argument has merit. However.

Five. Picks. In a single game.

If we can't make fun of Sanchez for that, then the terrorists have won.

Also, Henne's flat out looked better, and has a lot more experience dealing with adversity than does Sanchez. You can bet that you wouldn't see Henne crying like a schoolgirl after a rough outing.

I definitely see what you are saying.

But its the Jest we're talking about here. They are our hated rival. Any chance we get to clown on them, we take it! Thats just the way it is.

Not to mention there have been tons of Jet trolls talking tons of smack leading up to that Monday Night Game. So they brought it on themselves.
Also, their players are ****y, ignorant meatheads (as well as their head coach).

But yeah, I am not gonna name Henne the next Marino just yet. I am cautiously optimistic though.

Meh, I think it has more to do with how the media and the Jet fans over hyping Sanchez than anything else and I can promise you if the shoe was on the other foot we would never hear the end of it.

Get all the tape you want on Henne because it's R&R that make everything work. Shutting down them is the only concern any Defense should be looking at. Sanchez had today what Henne had last week .... a great run game, lots of time to throw ... just a completely different result that had nothing to do with game tape.

When we can't run Henne will struggle, that's a given but as long as we can produce a solid run game for him he can take advantage of the basic man coverages he'll face because defenses have to respect the run game.

i think dolfans are very carefull with their expectations... the hype on sanchez was/is 100 times bigger than all the attention henne is getting...

this being said, if we beat the saints, some dolfans might start sounding like those jets fans... :rolleyes2:

I was just thinking the same thing earlier. Sanchez hasn't been a smug a-hole, so I don't derive any particular pleasure in watching him struggle. Some of the Jets fans, well, that's another story entirely. We have an extremely, extremely difficult 3 game stretch coming up and I would strongly advise everyone to temper their expectations of Henne in the coming weeks.

The media has been all over Sanchez and it's not really his fault. Not his fault companies have ALREADY given him sponsorships and put him in commercials and magazines(I would take the money also!). It's more fun watching the Jets fans and Rex Ryan squirm then it is sanchez. We haven't anointed Henne yet either. We're reluctant. We'll see how he does against the Saints, Jets, Pats stretch.

Henne had good protection, but he didn't have as much time as you think, the difference is that he had the poise and ability to make throws with defenders barrelling right down at him in his face and making big time throws unfazed. Hennes biggest paces were in the face of pass rush and guys right in his face or within a second of getting him. Henne will have struggles as a rookie, but, I think teams underestimating miamis pass because of Henne could be in trouble in thinkijng of just stopping the run and then the next thing they know they are paying for loading the box when Henne launches a pin point pass to Ginn deep or a nice pass to Camarillo and holds his own.

I'm quite happy with Henne's performance, though I'm not really annointing him anything yet. But there are real issues with Sanchez, he is a very young rookie who has very little experience playing at a higher level and this is the first time he has really faced adversity like this. And facing adversity in New York will not be fun.

I feel a lot more confident with Henne because at least Henne has a great deal of collegiate experience and hasn't come out the door showing the penchant for trying to force throws like Sanchez. He has clearly been trained well, and while I'm sure there are going to be some situations where he still makes more mistakes than I'd like, I'm extremely pleased with the poise and decision making that he has shown.

Sanchez has shown a capability for making plays, but that's about it. He hasn't learned when its better to make the smart play rather than the big play.

Excuse me, nobody is really paying any attention to Henne outside DolFan Land. When Miami is talked, its the Wildcat and R & R. Henne is a mere afterthought.

It was the New York Jets themselves anointing Sanchez as the coming. It was Sexy Rexi who elevated his team into a contender for the Superbowl following Sanchez.

It was all the doing and the undoing of the New York Jets.

So yes, we have the right to trash and bash them and poking fun at them.

Henne's not a rookie.

My point was that Sanchez got everything Henne has had but still sucked. So there's alot more to Henne then the run game but the run game is why Henne looks real good early on. Defenses have no choice but to try to stop the run or they will get run over all game long. This allows the coverages for Henne to be more basic and easier to read thus equalling better results.

Well yeah he's not a rookie since he was drafted last year, but he's a rookie nfl starting experience wise. I look at a qb as a rookie by age and playing experience, because they are new to the nfl scene with playing and are a adjusting to the nfl speed because of the lack of playing experience.
