Despite popular belief, they're is another rookie on the team other than Ronnie Brown. I'm sure this may have been brought up somewhere along the lines today but amidst the "Ronnie Brown Must Die" paranoia it's probably been overlooked.

Crowder got an unnecessary roughness penalty called on him at one of the crucial parts of this game. Everyones all set to torch Ronnie Brown alive for simply not being spectacular, meanwhile crowder single handed gave the jets 15 yards in our territory. And IMO, put the jets in perfect situation for the go ahead score. What do you guys think of him and that bonehead play?

And if we're going to bash Brown for not being perfect, Why don't we get on Travis Daniels too? I believe he was the one who covered L. Coles on the first TD. Daniels played it like he had no clue the ball would be coming his way. He never saw the ball, because he wasn't anywhere close to good position to turn around and make a play on it. I actually thought he was Reggie Howard until i Saw him get up from the play. Thats how bad it looked. For those who believe that daniels is a very good future CB, what do you think of his particular play on sunday.

and im not even gonna ask about roth.

I think you went off the deep end to get some heat off your boy brown... Crowder was solid all day, he had that 1 bonehead play which DID NOT cost them 15 yards, it was half the distance to the goal (8 or so), and the jets were going to score probably anyways, the momentum changer on that drive was the 20 yd catch on 3rd and 12 in jet territory... u stop them there (as you should) and the defense comes in without rest after being drove on... Not excusing crowder, but it wasnt the biggest play on that drive, it should have been over way long b4 and then he wouldnt have vented his frustration (still a rookie mistake)...

About daniels... I think you are 100% wrong. no offense. That was good defense. A perfect throw by chad. He made a quick hip turn on the ball (Daniels) to cover the fade route, the throw was just perfect, and excellent footwork by coles to stay in...

I only saw a quick shot of the Crowder penalty, bad timing yes, but it looked like he had a lot of momentum and was just trying to lay the wood. I confess only saw it once.

he overreacted... i was at the game, it was near where i was sitting, he ran him out with momentum and then threw him on the ground

I thought the Crowder penalty could have gone either way.

Very excited about these two rookies. Hell, all of the rookies.

all 3 of these guys are making rookie mistakes. they don't look like bad players, they look like inexperienced players, and saban and his staff should correct their problems

I find it hard to believe that all you guys are picking on these rookies like they are pro bowlers. Travis Daniels had great coverage on that play it was just a better throw and catch. New England gave up 27 does their defense suck all of a sudden? The rules and the nature of defense dictate that the offense is going to score points, although watching the Phins offense can make you think otherwise sometimes. Crowder's penalty was bogus these officials are making this game all sissy he was just completing his tackle. Matt Roth isn't going to be Jason Taylor 2 games into his career. And on another note, do stats mean everything? Saban has a plan that goes out a lot further than just this season. If he wants to have more of a 3-4 scheme, the DE's are bigger and have more hole stuffing responsibilities than sacks. Do you know how many sacks Richard Seymour had last year? 5! He will be groomed for that kind of role possibly. The days of having Jason Taylor just line up wide and go for broke on the QB are over. And for Christ's sakes, LEAVE RONNIE BROWN ALONE! It is two freakin games and I really haven't seen a lot of holes for this guy to run through. Ricky Williams averaged 3.5 yards a carry in 2003 because the offensive line was so god awful so please just let the kid go. The fact that you are all crying for Cadillac after you spent all April gushing how Ronnie was going to be the better back apparently means nothing now huh?

the coles td was a perfect pass, cant defend against that. crowder lost his head, but how about his goaline stop, he is an absolute beast out there, you cant ask for anything more out of 3rd and 4th round picks than we have gotten so far

I'm actually paying attention to all three really, most of my attention on Channing Crowder. I liked what I saw in the preseason (I did watch all five of their games). It looks like he has alot of potential, and already becoming a starter among that ocean-deep depth of linebackers Miami has? That's pretty damn good in my opinion.

As for Travis Daniels, he is my favorite young player right now. I'll be keeping a close eye on him and will not forget about him throughout the season.

Ronnie Brown. I have not liked what I've seen in him so far except for a few plays last week. But it's only been two games. He has 14 more games to get up to NFL-speed.

I saw that Crowder play replayed a few times, thats going to get called everytime. It might be a bit prissy but its going to get a flag everytime in the current NFL. Im not too upset about it, he needs to play hard and go after guys, you make a few mistakes now and then, nothing to get in a fuss about. Its way too early to start dumping on rookies lets relax a bit.

Crowder got stiff-armed to the face, and got a little pissed. He'll have to learn to control that anger, but I like that fire out of a first year guy.. penalty or not

To answer your question on why no1 has been on these guys is because they have played solid. Channing Crowder has been playing the best out of all the rookies and is going to be a hell of a LB. Obviously people are getting on Brown's case because he isnt performing well. Not saying he won't get better, just that some fans are frustrated. IMO i think Daniels will be a successful corner in the league and thought he played coles pretty good on that play.

I agree 100%....they were both solid, and one bad play by each should NOT outweigh the good that both of them did during the game.....on the other hand, Ronnie Brown is not up to speed yet and did "in my opinion", NOTHING to help the team out. Sammy Morris only had a few carries but averaged like 9 yards a carry?? I'm not sure if that's Brown's inexperience from missing most of training camp, or what but he needs to improve GREATLY
