Crowder, Ferguson ruled out for Patriots game

Crowder is a liability anyway....

Ferguson ain't much better than Solai.

Nothing lost, nothing gained.
 
You'll probably see more 4 down linemen looks like last week. Expect Starks to shift inside with Soliai once in awhile, with Merling and maybe Taylor/Porter on the outside giving 4-3 looks. And Langford + McDaniel going inside as well, with Soliai or Starks inside.

Soliai "may" not see THAT much time anyway as the jets were more of a running team and the pats a passing team.. Soliai is like fergy- not really known for rushing the passer.

This is the good thing about having so many young and talented 3-4 defensive ends. We are very good there and have flexibility (it's the strength of the defense by far).

Expect some serious rotating tomorrow on the defensive front, with them lined up all over the place on any given down/situation.

Soliai has been playing very well all season when he has been in there. Last week wasn't a fluke.... His improvement this year has been very VERY noticeable even during pre season.

Agreed, but I do hope to see Ferguson out a little. If not it will be good rest him same for Crowder. Never know what you get with Crowder. Torbor I think is more balance and from what tony says Torbor is one out of out five that get tony's message completely. I am not worried one bit with our replacements. Our depth is quite the same as our starters.

I LIKE Soliai, HE IS PHYSICAL AND ATHLETIC IN FACT THE ONLY KNOCK WAS THAT HIS ARMS WERE SHORT AND UNABLE TO GET OFF BLOCKS BUT SHID I THINK OTHERWISE. NOT ONLY CAN HE TWO GAP (HENCE THE NAME) BUT HE IS DISRUPTIVE, I KNOW THAT WAS NOT A FLUKE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN WATCHING HIM BACK TO LAST YEAR AND IT WAS THE SAME PLAYER JUST LIKE AGAINST RAVENS IN PLAYOFF LOST. FOR SOME REASON I LOVE THAT 4-3 WE RAN LAST WEEK, IT WAS FLAT OUT NO DEAL AGAINST THE RUN AND WE HAD ROTH WHO I DON'T SEE ANY TIGHT END BEING ABLE TO BLOCK THE WILDMAN FROM IOWA. WE ARE LOADED UP FRONT,HOWEVER THIS IS A DIFFERENT TEAM IN THE PATS, I THINK WE SHOULD FOLLOW THE GIANTS BLUEPRINT AND THATS GETTING A EFFECTIVE FOR MAN RUSH GOING, SOLAI, STARKS INSIDE, WITH LANGFORD AND MERLING AT ENDS, I EVEN LIKE TORBOR BETTER THAN AKIN, ON OBVIOUS PASS DOWNS, BRING JT AT HIS NATURAL RIGHT END WAKE AT LEFT END, WITH PORTER RUSHING UP UP THE MIDDLE AND MATT ROTH AT DT GETTING IN THAT ***, AND CULVER AND CLEMMONS WILL BE THE TWO SAFTIES WITH BELL AND WILSON AT LB'S, BRING IT!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I'm glad that we lost our two best run stuffers against a team like the Pats rather than the Panthers.

i think Soliai is a pretty good run stuffer he has defently played well this season when he as been in there

Well, we all know Ferguson is not going to be here forever, it's only a matter of time before we had to see Miami play without him. If Soliai can play well in our biggest game of the year, it will say a lot about his future here.
