Crowder getting some love from Zach

``He's real smart. He's picking it up quick, especially for a rookie,'' Thomas said. ``He's got a lot of talent and he's a big guy. He surprises me the most. I think he's going to be a great player in the NFL.''

That's a great read. Thanks for a great post Superself.!!

awesome read, I can't wait to see him prove all the doubters wrong.

2005 Steal of the draft: Channing Crowder
2004 Steal of the draft: Will Poole
2003 Steal of the draft: Randy McMichael

Anyone disagree?

I've become a huge fan of Channing. I wish that Nick would sit Seau and let this guy hit the ground running. Allow Seau to come in on situational plays such as stopping a 3rd and inches play.
This is an evaluation year anyway...a great setting for a guy like Channing to hone his skills and make a name for himself.

Yes, Will Poole was not the steal of the 2004 draft.

Crowder, I talk with this guy in Ganesville, at Sanders Practice Field a day before of the NFL Drafts works out, and he's big, quick, very smart, I appreciate a lot this guy but now he's in class and the teachers are Zach and Seau, if he'll be a starter, he take the Spragan spot, but the best chance it's change the D in 3-4, and then he'll be the starter MLB joined to Zach. Seau-Crowder-Zach-Spragan woooo, if we play a lot in 3-4 Crowder will take the chance to play a lot, but starter I don't think this year, but if any starter LB hurts Crowder will fill that spot
I really want to see at OLB as well, he need more minutes and the starter position will be nice to him and for us. Zach just move out for careful and he know 'bout Crowder.

Crowder will deserve the starter position for himself
