Crowder hurts chances for contract extention.

If the Fins don't resign Crowder . . . I doubt Sunday had anything to do with it.

true why should we resign a pretty good inside linebacwho is 24 years old. we should invest more money in guys like Ernest wilford and jason Allen who cant crack the lineup lol.

I don't see it. if channing isn't resigned it'll have nothing to do with this game.

the Dolphins already made tried to re-sign but his agent refused the offer.. there was a article about that a few weeks ago on miamiherald.com ..
there Crowder also said that he guesses that he is an average linebacker because he hasn't done something spectacular thus far..

hey its business . . . I can't knock a player/agent for just doing business . . . it is still early and the guy is a UFA at the end of the season. Yea maybe he hasn't become this elite LB . . . but he is still solid. Hell I don't know what the offer was . . . but u got guys getting big money all over the place for being even LESS than average . . . so Crowder has his payday comming . . . when u start in the league for your first FOUR years . . . at a 3rd round draft status . . .your payday is comming.

Average Linebackers get big paydays . . . our FO has to figure out if its worth it.

Playing at the level he has played and he is only 24, I dont know why we would want to start all over. Do people realize this is his first full, true year playing this part of inside linebacker in the 3-4. he would also be a better outside linbacker than Matt Roth or charlie Anderson. Crowder is a valuable player.

Yeah the thing is Crowder may get seriously overvalued in the FA market and Bill and Co don't want to overpay. Crowder has been good this season but not great. He's 24 but he's got the knees of a player much older than that, he over pursues on many plays and he doesn't make enough impact plays. I really like Channing but I wouldn't be opposed to not re-signing him if we could get an upgrade, and that's a big if.

He's worth signing to a good contract but not to break the bank, paying to much for average talent gets you average in a hurry. Like I said he's good but you don't pay for potential you pay for what he's done and so far he's only been good.

At least now we have some idea of what Channing was saying to Light to get him all 'lit up'...:err:

it doesn't matter to me how young he is or how much potential he has, if he melts down in pressure situations, he's not worth much

i don't see him as solid at all....in my eyes his production is a massive dissappointment in terms of the impact he SHOULD be making.....now i'm not saying he lacks talent....it's a matter of economics and as far as i can see the numbers wont add up...i believe we can draft a player to take channing's spot for alot less $'s than him and his agent will demand

How do you know this exactly? Do you know how much the Dollphins offered him and how much his agent is asking for? Do you know his current salary?

I hope you are not trying to imply he melted down against the Pats.

I'm just going by what coach says...

“When you get on that big stage and you get under that big light, you learn a lot,” Sparano said. “You learn a little bit more about what you have to do and … that picture is starting to un-muddy for me.”
