With the Denver Broncos, and Green Bay Packers switching to the 3-4, and other 3-4 teams having issues in at the ILB spot, I'am quite shure, that Channing will get the big contract he want's but not from us..

Anybody sees a chance for putting the tag on him, so that maybe we can get something in exchange for him?

no reason to tag Bell IMHO, he's not going to be too expensive, ( age, injuries, lack of hands) and he shurely wants to stay

We aren't going to tag Bell. I don't personally think any of the FAs we have now are worth tagging. Get a deal done with whomever you want to keep, and, be doen with it.

I would be very wary about letting Crowder go easily. IMO the Fins must be certain of picking up a quality free agent LB before letting go of Crowder. Either way LB will have to be addressed in the draft, be it ILB or OLB. Which means they have options over who they pick up in FA. They can pick up Barton, Scott, Suggs or Dansby in that case and then pick up one in the draft.

But personally I dont see the Fins giving out big money to free agents, which I think all the good LB's will be looking for. Thats why I think signing Crowder is not a bad option and then drafting an ILB in the 5th or 6th in the draft. Crowder may not be great but he can do a job for us. If he looks for too much then let him go, but if we can get him at a resonable price then I say re-sign him.

your some what right i would like to see the fins resign him but for a very reasonable amount, if he's asking for really big $$$ then i would go after some of the names that you mentioned... and i think they'll tag Carey, he's about the only one along with Bell that we must resign, and Bell i believe will resign for a fair deal for both parties.

If Crowder wants the big money then let him walk. He is a smart player but can't get off his blocks. I don't know how many times I saw lineman just push him out of the way like a rag doll. Parcells likes bigger linebackers any way.

Crowder may have led the team in tackles but what big plays did he make?? ZERO!!! He never makes ANY gamechanging plays and many of his tackles were 10 yards downfield. The guy is so overrated it isn't funny. If he played half as good as he runs his mouth he's be All-Pro every season.

crowder said he wants a top 5 ILB contract.... we're not gonna give him that, I like the guy, but he does not bring top ilb production
