Through two games, it's hard to find anybody on either side of the ball that's playing well right now. "They're punting the hell out of it (Laughter)."

It's never good when Brandon Fields is your best player, or one of your best players, kicking the ball away: "And the defense isn't stopping too many people, either."

I know you've talked to guys about Jason Taylor going off in the locker room a little bit. Does this get back to the team not knowing how to win? "Last time I seen J.T. go crazy was, was we played Cleveland [in 2005 in a game the Dolphins trailed 12-0 at halftime and lost 22-0]. J.T. comes in and goes crazy. He says, 'If you don't want to play football, quit. I'll pay the rest of your salary out of my pocket. He told everybody on the team that.'"


You've been pretty critical of some things. Any feedback on that? A lot of guys, the biggest problem they have with guys who get out of playing football is that nobody wants to be critical of guys you played with. "Oh yeah, you know this. People call me the Tiki Barber of South Florida."

I haven't heard that one! "On my Twitter, Tiki Barber, I retired and now I'm bashing Henne. I'm not bashing Henne. You know this, Joe. You did the same thing I did, came out of football with your friends still on the team, having to have an unprejudiced eye toward it. I don't like Henne. I'm not a fan of Henne and people kill me and talk about how you're bashing your team. Look at the numbers. I'm just being a smart football guy. I'm not talking about friends or enemies. I just don't like the guy, and I get criticized for it, but that's part of media."


What do you see as the biggest problems, from general manager to coach and on down? "All the moves they made, all the changes the genius Jeff Ireland, quote-unquote genius, that he's done... they haven't showed it."

What would he know about the Dolphins? After all, he hasn't been part of this team in nearly two months, and we've done nothing but improve since then.

(edit: this is sarcasm, :crazy:)
 
I hadn't heard the Tiki thing and when I saw this thread I was gonna come in and say he's gonna end up like Tiki. Talk **** blow his doe and want to come back and no one would want him. Funny that it was already in the article. It seems to say that he doesn't like Henne, would be interesting to understand the complete dynamic of this team. I played college baseball and there were some dudes that didn't fit but out 11 teams (medical redshirt year and 6 summer teams) I played on in college we all got along well. But baseball players are by far a different breed.
 
Crowder's got his opinion.

All I know is his replacement Burnett flat out sucks.

He looks like he's running at half speed on most plays.

I don't like the Tiki comparison because Tiki openly bashed Eli when Eli GOT DRAFTED. I vividly remember him going on PTI Eli's rookie year and made fun of his accent and how nobody could understand him. Then when he retired, he continued to talk about how Eli wasn't a leader. Eli fired back and actually won the respect of fans, coaches, and teammates because he called Tiki out on quitting. Channing, whether you like what he says or not, is not attacking Henne the person. He's saying he doesn't like Henne as a QB.

At least he's not missing tackles like Crowder....he's never even in position to make them.
