The possibility that inside linebacker Channing Crowder will miss Sunday’s game against the New York Jets grew Friday when Crowder sat out his third straight practice with a shoulder injury.
Crowder went through the stretching portion of the workout with his teammates, then did some side work with a trainer designed to strengthen his shoulder.

Ginn was working with the third-team offense on Wednesday but coach Tony Sparano has not said whether or not his playing time will be reduced.

As much as I hate Channing Crowder's game, we're in trouble without him. I know that sounds ridiculous but the guy is better than anyone else at ILB (see KC Chiefs circa 2009).
Secondly, Ted Ginn will be called upon in this game. I hate Ginn just as much if not more than everyone else on this board. I don't suspect he'll be our starter for the remainder of the season and i expect him to be off our Roster by next year. But something tells me he will be used in this game. Whether that be on an end-around or a big catch play, i bet he'll make a big play.

I will say this much, if Sparano is playing games at who's gonna start at receiver that could be detrimental to the team. If he is actually going to start Ginn (and I do believe he will to negate the Jets stacking the box), why not put him with the 1st team to be catching balls from Henne. If he's catching balls from backup qb's it's not the same. It seems to me that Ginn could catch Pennington's passes because they didn't have as much juice behind them. Henne throws alot harder and Ginn is having a hard time adjusting to the difference in velocity. If Ginn is going to improve he needs to CONSTANTLY be catching passes from Henne

I'm as mad about Ginn as anyone...but one day that switch will be flipped. I hope if it does he is still a dolphin because the fallout from that would be annoying with all the fans crying aobut how we let him go.

the guy has talent oozing out of his ears...lets hope him being broken all the way down now and in the process of being rebuilt will help him and us out

While Henne can throw harder than Pennington, I honestly can't recall a dropped ball by Ginn in which this could have possibly been a factor. The pick-six on Sunday wasn't thrown on a line, nor was the sideline pass on the critical late drive, nor was the one that hit him in the head in the end zone at the end.

How about the potential game-winner vs. Indy, from Pennington, which he only got two hands on? I recall some claiming that a stronger QB would have led Ginn with the ball instead of making him go up for it (that one was too soft, in other words).

What is he -- Goldilocks? "This pass is too slow! Oh my, that one's too fast!!. But this one is juuuuuuust right!!!"

Really? Talent for what? Music?

He's fast. That's not even talent, it's just an attribute. You're fast or you aren't (mostly).

He doesn't run routes well. He doesn't fight for the ball well. He doesn't break tackles. His concentration (and therefore, consistency) clearly sucks.

I'd love to see Ginn improve. I really would. And maybe it's possible. But I'm baffled about this 'talent' you claim to see.

Dead on spot.....Teddy belongs in the summer olympics not on a football field...If i ever see cam cameron im going to kick him square in the nutz...

I am wondering if the media only being able to see Ginn practicing with the third team is a strategy that is being used by Sparano and the coaching staff this week. I mean since all we hear from the media is that Ginn is no longer with the first team and is practiceing with the 3rd stringers is that something that maybe Baby Rexy will overlook preparing for, especially with all the focus you know he is putting on in practice to stop the Wildcat.

I think that if there is an open competiton at the WR spot this week he has to get at least be getting some reps with the first team. Also, with all of these reports about Ginn sitting on the sideling there is very little information about what package and plays the 1st team is running. We have seen it many times before when Ginn isn't in the game because the package doesn't call for it.

I know that Ginn is in Sparano's dog house and he very well should be becaue of his pi** poor play lately, but benching our only deep threat against one of the better run stuffing teams in the leage just doesn't seem like something Sparano and Henning would do. It's just not smart coaching. I mean you don't have to throw the ball to him, but at least he should be out there as a decoy for us to at least have the possibility to burn them deep if they put 8 in the box.

I don't think he should be benched either, but we can't rely on him in any critical situations. While his speed alone doesn't make him a good WR, no defense can allow him to run past them on the assumption that he'll drop a well-thrown pass. So that's something -- not really too much, but definitely something of value.

It doesn't say Ginn played with the third team today, only on Wednesday. The title is alittle miss leading.

Damn, I remember that game against the Chiefs last year.

It was ONE Fugly game. We made our new back up QB look like Michael Vick out there.

I think the Coaches are using this opportunity to let Channing heal up and also get some more practice for Torbor. Torbor has been miaking some good plays lately. I think injury or not we would be seeing more playing time for Torbor in the future anyway.
