Turner, Sheets or other? I'm thinking with Ricky being banged up we might see Sheets activated.

Pat Turner!!! I want to see how much he 'allegedly' sucks. We, as fans, need to write this guy off now, so we're not 'discussing' his potential in the off-season.

Yeah, seriously. Obviously, the off season is no way to gauge his talent at all, because he did awesome in OTA's and all. At least put him in the game and see if he can do SOMETHING. They have to find out!

I mean, think about it. Vontae would probably still have a very reserved role if Will Allen didn't get hurt.

1 game left...does it matter who gets the spot when they have a few players inactive anyway?

I'd like to see both Turner and Sheets activated. I would really like to see what Sheets could do on kick returns.

Personally I would like to see JD Folsom, but only if he gets some time at ILB, which is doubtful. The sooner we realize Crowder, Akin or Torbor are not the answer at ILB, the better off this team will be.

Otherwise, Sheets.

Not just returns, but in the base offense and running game. Sheets was very productive at Purdue, and it would be a shame to lose a potentially good player due to a numbers game at Running Back in 2010. (Do we carry Ronnie, Ricky, Cobbs, AND Sheets on the week 1 roster? Sheets needs to make his case.)

You're forgetting Hilliard, who has actually made it into games and produced (74 receiving yards last week).

Wow. Yeah, I did forget Hilliard. To be fair, it feels like the coaching staff forgot about him too, at times. :foundout:

Still, I'd hate to think a player who rushed for 1,100 yards in his senior season would be nothing more than an emergency waiver claim in the NFL.

I hear ya, but with Ronnie (I think?), Ricky (for one more season), Cobbs (he was extended wasn't he?), Polite as FB, and now Hilliard making a case to stick around, it's one crowded backfield. But no one thought Hilliard would see any time at the start season (as the 4th RB) so you never know if/when Sheets will get a chance.

Kory Sheets is going to be active this week because of the injury to Rickey. It'll be interesting to see if he gets any carries and what he does with them. TS says "he's a different kind of runner, more of a slasher".

for all those saying'' i want to see turner active so we see wat we have in him, etc'' well guess wat? since there is 1 game left, no matter wat it wont be enough to determine wat we have in him. he can light it up and he can still come back and stink it up next season, or he can stink it up and comeback next season and light it up.

u cnt judge someone based on one performance, so this game wouldnt be a good judgement for him.

do i want to see him? yes, but if so, no matter wat, u wont be able to make a valid conclusion on wat type of player hes going to be bc 1 of anything cant tell the story.

same goes for any other player.

Activate 'both'. I'd rather see Pat White on kick returns and Sheets on actual run plays to see the change up. If Hilliard and Sheets impress, watch out Cobbs...

I'll be shocked if Sheets gets any carries
