Csonka stumps for Coughlin

70 ain't what it used to be.
It all depends on health and energy, and Coughlin looks like he's got a good 5 years left in him for coaching. Not saying he's the best choice, or my choice, but don't poo poo someone cuz of age. Best candidate is best candidate.

leaning towards him myself. As pointed out, just what this team needs

think of the continuity with Mike and Kyle Shannahan.
That's what we need for 15 years

so basically, in 4 years we'll look for another coach? Even if he is successful? His shelf life for coaching past 75 is slim.

Our organization loves to fire head coaches so it only
makes sense to move onto the next level and actually
have a coach die during his tenure.

Don't like ANY of Shanahans qualities. NONE.

Theoretically he brings a great staff that one stands out & is groomed for his replacement. Campbell maybe?
I just see him fixing much of the BS this team has given us over more than a decade. professionalism, discipline & accountability.

I think Coughlin goes to Philly for some payback.

Think of the continuity of Dan Campbell - Tom Coughlin - Dan Campbell. That's real Dolphin continuity.

I have no true issue with continuity but keeping a dolphin coach only gives continuity in the sense of the same crap.
Coughlin should hire whoever he wants to hire, one could quite argue that he had many people on his staff better than Campbell
