I believe Nick will spent a **** load of money via FA. i expect a top notch lineman, defensive player, and possibly 1 more. as we haev seen, saban is a guy after players that can play and perform and doenst deal with players taht can't. he wants to win adn wants to win now so i do expect us to make 3 huge deals this offseason. Mark my words!

Taking the leg surgery is safer then the arm surgery i think but i love brees so screw me. :(

I agree with the big FA signings. I like the idea of O-line, and hopefullt a DB. I really dont like any QB on the market. But as of the last few days sounds like Brees will be on the market. I would take him. I like his style, and I would love to see how he will do after the surgery. Even if we did pick him up I still say draft a QB early, but who knows, maybe Brees would be our short term answer, start for the next few years, and let a young QB learn under him. Kinda like what SD has been doing with him and Rivers. It seems like a good idea. Donte, I think he would be a waste. No matter what, we need a QB in teh draft, but if brees is there, might be worth a look

agree.

free agents

Saben will NOT spend free agent dollars like a mad man.

I think he will spend some money on a few needs and upgrade at the positions he feels that the draft cannot provide.I dont see him going after
any of the top tier free agents"build for the future and conserve the free agent $$$"

Everyone would like the quick fix but it's not going to happen because Saben
wants a dynasty and this will take time to build...draft,draft,draft!!

Some people think because of our final record 9-7 that we are closer
than we actually are...Remember the New England game we won
aginst there second stringers.I feel that if the game ment anything and there first stringers played that they would have kicked our ***.

The team has improved but realisticly we are a .500 team but with the draft and coach Sabin signing a few 2nd tier free agent needs we will improve.

In closing I would be shocked if Saben opened the bank and signed
any of the "high priced" free agents.

This is true, I think if we can get someone for the right price, he will. But bringing in older overpriced FAs compared to Young rookies that will help now and down the road

if that was teh case we'd end up waiting 6 years b/c by the 3rd year our great players (JT ZT) will be gone themselves and CC mcmike would be hittin 30's. wont happen dude. BB built the team trhoough patchin up holes wiht KEY consistent veterans via FA. If you haven't noticed saban did the same thign this year and will again.

how can he spend a **** load of money if he plans (and says) that a team should be built thru the draft.

b/c he isn't going to wait 5 years to have it bult. have u not seen our other players ages? the jts? zt? lance? they wont be around by the time the team is built via draft so he will add key positions that are veterans that perform constnatly throughout their careers to come while we add players via draft. some the fa are VREY young. no more then 27 yrs old. thats almost the same thing

I personally would sign Josh McCown over both Brees or Culpepper. He has a strong arm and he is mobile.

Stupidest statement of the day. Mccown can't get it done with two of the best wideouts in football. Brees gets it done with a decent wideout and a good TE. I think Brees is the best of the 3.

He has a bad O-Line and no running game and I guess you didnt see the other thread were he was like 60% plus on 3rd down and take into account that he will be alot less expensive and the Cardinals have won more when he starts the past 3 yrs then when any other qb they have had starts makes your statement the "Stupidest of the day". :rolleyes2

well for one STOP WITH TEH CHEAPEST LESS EXPENSIVE ROUTE ****!! you aren't going to have a 1 mill dollar guy win you SB! why are ppl so cheap but wonder why we can't win teh sb? why dont you just go be a lions fan? or a packer fan? but i do agree that jsoh has done pretty well. his record there is 9 and 10 and every other qb there had a record of 2 and 11 so i think josh is pretty good but i wouldn't go after him b/c he is ok and costs less. sorry im not cheap when im in a billion dollar sport.
