Culpepper and Green linked together

what is the point of trent green? whats he good for 1 or maybe 2 years if that...C-Pep however, i believe in him, i believe he can still do it. hes got alot more years left than trent green does anyway.

i would love to see what c-pep can do for us healthy all year...he needs to get a fair shot!!

Many of us, I believe, would still love to see a healthy Culpepper. But with last season he came out, our hopes crushed.
Green would be a great insurance policy. Someone that knows some of the offense, and a good teacher for Beck to learn from.
No, Green is not our future, but presently we really don't have a QB that we can rely upon.

i hope cpep can get back to his old form...he needs one more chance

Simply put, Beck is the future and we just need a veteran QB to hold the reigns this season. Neither Green nor Culpepper have a long term future here, but we need the best QB that can help teach and ease Beck into the starting role. That man is Green, not Culpepper.

This is almost word for word what I was thinking.

carry both QBs. we have the cap room. I know, they will be criticized for spending that much on the position (5 mil for Cpep, and probably around 2 mil for green...purely a guess, so don't ask for a link), but at least let Culpepper go through June mini camp before cutting or trading him. It may pay off. I say Culpepper should definitely stay. if we can get Green at a reasonable price, then bring him on as insurance. and a few months down the road, if there is locker room controversey, who knows...maybe Vick will have been suspended and we can trade one to the Falcons, or maybe another team's QB will have gotten hurt (let it be clear that I don't wish AT ALL for any team's QB to get hurt). Bottom Line: Give Daunte a fair shot.

Where does Beck fit into this debate? He is the future, correct? If your answer to that questions is yes, then the obvious choice is Trent Green. Can we afford to have two quarterbacks making huge incomes with Culpepper and Beck? If Culpepper does stick with the dolphins and proves to be a capable QB, when do we hand over the keys to Beck? If Culpepper goes further and plays for 4-5 years, that makes Beck 30 years old before he takes over?

A lot of questions if Culpepper remains with the Dolphins. I believe the answer to this debate has to do with the Beck and not Green or Culpepper.

This is true. I really like Culpepper and I would love to see him in Miami, but our future is Beck and we need someone to show him the way. That is where I think Green fits in perfectly.

ive been saying that all along!!! thank you

If Green, C-Pepp, and Lemon are all we have at QB, we might as well throw Beck the rook in and give him a shot to start right away.

lets give one more chance we already lost a pick......:bighug:

man at this point id like to see either one that is healty and can win games now. i think DC deserves to show what he can do healthy but also think green would be great for this team. also i think green is a better mentor for beck than DC. the main thing that scares me about green is that if he gets a concusion well he isnt going to do us much good when he retires(prolly more forced thatn he wants) none the less he is seriously one big hit away from the retirement mark.
