Each day that passes there seems to be more and more talk about Culpepper and TO.

I would be very willing to see what our team could do with this amazing lineup:
QB - Culpepper
HB - Brown
WR - Owens
WR - Chambers
TE - McMichael

That would be a better lineup than Indy has currently in the skill players department on offense.

I cant keep up with all the touchdowns my brain is imagining........38, 39, 40, 41....102, 103....AhhhhH!

Sorry misread the title--I thought you meant they were both in Miami

Nope. I'm just playing out how awesome it would be to have them both in my head. Since Culpepper is officially on the trading block now.

Now its just a fight between Miami, St. Louis, and Oakland.

I say we win (Ricky is a good tool). St. Louis a close 2nd (Bulger for Culpepper could be enticeing). And Oakland hauls in the rear because Culpepper doesn't want to ever look down the line of scrimage again and see Randy Moss folding laundry in the 4th quarter instead of competing.

Plus, say we trade Ricky and our 2nd or 3rd for Peppy, then we wouldn't have to worry about trading up in the draft. We could just sit still and wait to draft Omar Jacobs in the 3rd or 4th round. This would be the best thing ever.
It would fill every need we have:
1)Bring in a veteran to start imediately
2)We can still address our secondary in the first round
3)We can draft a guy to groom under Culpepper
4)We can finally get that dreadlock-baring reeferhead off our team and send him to the dumbest organization in the NFL, and we're getting rid of him at the perfect time, he's only getting older, I think he is at his peak as far as trade value.

We could not afford all of them

we possibly could. we would probably sign TO to a smaller salary based on his checkered past and the limited amount of teams actively persuing him. he has no levrage in this situation. Culpepper is coming off of a devastating injury, he has little levrage until he proves he can still make all the throws and still be a mobile QB. the trade for Culpepper would probably come at a reduced price as we would likely rework his deal. however, i dont see Saban trading away a draft choice, more likely he'll send Ricky to Minnesota as Ricky's value at this point is essentially a 2nd rounder which is what Minnesota is looking for.

all that said, i'd be incredibly suprised to see Culpepper as a Dolphin.

Interesting thoughts mucker
  1. I dont think Gus done too much wrong toward the end of the season. 6-0 aint bad.
  2. More than likely
  3. Yes
  4. :shakeno:

sage won two of those games.

gus still sucks.

id rather keep gus for one more year and draft a QB instead of taking on damaged goods that are very expensive.

risk is TOO BIG.

i herd the vikins only want a 2nd rounder, that and ricky would seal the deal, not that heavy of a loss for us either

But don't the Vikings have enough running back depth?

Yes but are any of them any good? That's beside the point though. Culpepper will not be a dolphin. I'll bet $20 on it.

damn can we just post a thread with like some credibility behind them not jus makin stuff up to stir ideas...man well i guess this wut happends during the offseason before FA signings.....

Am I the only one who hates this idea. :tantrum: We could never afford it, and even if we tried, it would tear apart the great team that we have been building. Donte is a bust, and TO only brings problems, not answers. I might boycot the fins if we did this... thank God I know they wont (knock on wood)
