Culpepper vs the Steelers: 18/37, 262 yds, 2 INT's

Harrington vs. the Patriots: 26/41, 232 yds, 2 INT's

So there you have it.

I will say that Harrington played a better game than Culpepper, but I have no faith in either of these guys. They are both mediocre, they both have their seperate issues.

The question is where do we go from here? Who starts next week? More importantly, who starts next YEAR????????!!!!

I'm scared....

Harrington put up those numbers against a 4-1 Playoff, even Super Bowl calibur team. He only got sacked once, and drove the team down the field. This was a winnable game.

Culpepper put up those numbers against a 1-2 (maybe 1-3 after today) team that hasn't really played well since.

I'll go with Harrington to start the rest of the year, and next season. He looked good today.

Well despite the Steeler's record this year, they ARE the SuperBowl Champions. Not to give anything to Culpepper, but I gotta be fair. These guys are not the future of the Dolphins......I'm thinking we draft Troy Smith next year if we keep on losing. We trade Culpepper and keep Harrington as backup.

re:

Troy Smith? That puts us another 3 years behind schedule, at least. He will be a complete project QB in the NFL, much like Vince Young.

The Steelers are the defending Super Bowl Champions in name only. they are hardly the team they were last year, probably even missing the Playoffs this year.

I've been a Harrington supporter since he was at Oregon. He showed flashes in DET, but there is not a QB in the NFL that could be successful there. He showed those flashes again today. I think, if Saban and Co. went with him as of right now, he COULD be the future of the franchise.

Well if you watch Troy Smith play, you will realize that he is absolutely nothing like Vince Young. IMO, he has the most accurate arm in college football. I think that Smith is much more of a guarantee than Vince Young...I'd say he resembles Leinart more.

If Joey starts a few more games and proves me wrong, I'll be totally happy, but I just don't believe that will be the case. Same with Culpepper.

I don't agree with Drafting an O Lineman first pick, I just think this team needs a spark player and its gotta be a more "well known" position.

I say play Cleo Lemon, at least he can run! We have nothing to lose now.

Culpepper played against the better defense (who cares what their record is or was). Stick to the facts rather than skew everything based on a dislike for either culpepper or harrington.

Well I'm glad you dont get to draft for us. Oline is the most obvious weakness on this team. We have playmakers on offense, we need a line to give them time and opportunity to make plays though. Not drafting oline because it isnt an exciting position would be as dumb as it gets.

I've watched Troy Smith play, numerous times. And, I can almost positively assure you that without Ted Ginn Jr., he's gonna have a lot of work to do to become and NFL QB. He's nothing like Leinart, who was a completely polished college QB. Troy Smith is simply a good college QB with playmaking ability *cough*Andre Ware*cough*.

Come on, lets play Lemon. I mean, you just never know what could happen. Right now we are pathetic on offense, though I still love the FINS!

That just is not true. I am not saying keep the line the way it is, but aquire linemen through trade or free agent pickup. We need an exciting draft pick, we need to get fans excited about the team's potential for next year. Drafting an O lineman is not the proper approach.

What pisses me off most about this is obviously Thomas and Taylor are not going to be apart of any superbowl team. By the time the offense catches up the heart of the defense should be long gone.

I don't dislike Culpepper. I was never happy we got him like everyone else, and he has done absolutely nothing to change my opinion. He has lost to teams with a combined record of 5-13. He hasn't made any meaningful play.

I've been a Harrington fan for awhile. I think he, everything else aside, is the answer to the Miami QB trainwreck. He drove this team down the field on more than one occassion. He, in my, and only my, opinion, should be the starting QB this year, and next. Then, after next year if he hasn't developed into a winning QB, find something else.

Are you saying that New England's defense is not every bit as good as Buffalo's (who got lit up today) or Houston's (better, actually) or Pittsburgh's (actually, theirs kinda sucks lately) ? I won't even talk about the Titans D (which admittedly played better today but still is not on par with New England).

Even though this is my own opinion, it's as close to "facts" as I can come. I have watched every down of every game and it is patently obvious that Harrington is much better than Culpepper, if not physically then mentally without a doubt.
