DAVIE · After several days of absorbing hits on and off the field, Dolphins quarterback Daunte Culpepper sidestepped any potential war of words far more nimbly than he's been eluding ongoing pass rushers.
"Just go out and work," Culpepper said Wednesday after practice. "You've got to work. People are going to have their own opinions or whatever. The thing is, I just want to make sure I'm making the proper steps and the proper strides to try to get better every day. That's all I can do."
The Bills weren't as diplomatic after sacking Culpepper, still working back from major knee surgery, seven times in Sunday's 16-6 victory over the 0-2 Dolphins.
"No, obviously not," Bills veteran linebacker London Fletcher-Baker said when asked if Culpepper was the same quarterback of a few years ago.
"He is not healthy, as far as having the same mobility he had in Minnesota. He can't keep plays alive the way he did."
