Wow, it must suck to be him. Talking about a down fall. Seems like he was just a probowl QB. WTF were we thinking, we could have had Drew Breese the last few years! I was one of the dumb ***es that actually bought a Culpepper jersey that is hanging next to the David Boston Jersey, the parachute pants, and the Michael Jackson Zipper Jacket in my closet of shame...hehe

I found this a pithy observation following a similar report on DC's injury in the Detr Free Press - from a fan who knows him well:

Detroiters: As a long time Viking fan, I can tell you that what you saw yesterday was classic Daunte. Spurts of looking great followed the the obligatory red zone time out and critical situation fumble. If he's still healthy, you can expect this to be a common occurence. While our QB situation su**s too, I still don't want that guy back.

I have the $65 Daunte Jersey too. Haven't bought one since. I also remember many debates here on why he was better than Chad Pennington. What a joke.

I have an Orange one i paid 79 for

I donated mine (along with other things) and took the tax deduction at the salvation army.

P.S. There must be some sorry-*** poor guy out there sporting my never-worn Daunte replica jersey...ha.

P.P.S-I"m going to hell for that...I know.

Honestly i never want to say he deserves what he gets but i will be one to say that i don't feel sorry for him in the least bit. Ever since he did that taunting thing to the crowd last time he played us i don't think very kindly of him.

Culpeppers talent was real, but that knee injury prevented him from returning to form. I wanted Brees, but when we finally made a decision I was on board 100% with Culpepper. If you think about it, Saban might still be with the Dolphins had we signed Brees.....I'm glad things worked out the way they did.

Looks like Detroit has a very good shot at becoming the first 0-16 team.
