Who is absolutely holding their breath waiting to see Daunte perform on Saturday? Hands up! :D

This guy is unbelievable in his work ethic and mental toughness. Working and rehabbing like crazy to get back onto that football field. This folks isn't about a big pay day or bragging rights. This is about a love for the game that you don't see in every player out there.
We as fans should feel honored to observe and enjoy the fact that he wants to be on that field to improve his game and be at his best once the season start.

With all the garbage spewing from his former coach's mouth even to compare his attitude to TO's...Daunte has displayed nothing but commitment to the team and being a leader as a QB should.

I'm thinking of having a mini-celebration or something for when I see #8 step on the field as the Miami Dolphins new starting QB. Yeah, its just preseason, but for many DolFans out there this probably means a heck of a lot.

Is it going to be on live TV? They didnt show either of the games last night...

Im very excited....First time the QB position has had me Jacked since Marino and that seems like a looooooooong time ago.

Can't wait, he's going to be someone very special for us. And Brad Childress is going to look like the crybaby idiot he is. I hope the fans & owner drum his keyster right out of Minnesota when they see what he gave up, and got sooooo little for in return.

I'm guessing he'll throw the ball 2 or 3 times max.....

Still, it will be good to see him under center, and ready to go. I'll be alittle worried based on the current state of the OL {right side}, but considering how little work he'll be doing, he should make it through one series without any problems...

PHINZ RULE!!!!

Im excited to see all the qbs perform. Daunte,Joey, and Cleo are all new and Berlin should be better than last year.

Because they werent local games. They dont just show EVERY preseason game. We only got the Eagles one because it was the Hall of Fame game

Question: When Linehan left there, did they change systems ? Or did they keep it similar, and just change coordinators ?

I dunno about local, but I got the colts rams game last night and I don't think it is local to NJ. I think it was nationaly televised.

As far as Culpepper I think they go playaction on the first play and he goes deep to Hagan.

Yes but you know what he is a rare breed but not perfect...Damn his hands!

Phins kept the Linehan system and its now OUR system Mularkey learned it and and added some wrinkles but the terminology etc has stayed the same...Just like when Cpep was in Minny :).

I'm not holding my breath. I think fans have to get use to the idea of turning the ball over once a game, maybe even twice a game, with Daunte this year.

That's part of his game. It isn't ALL 2004 with him. He averages one interception a game over his career, and he averages one fumble a game, with about a third of them lost.

Get use to that, because it's going to be as much a part of him in Miami as Minnesota. The good news is he averages 2 touchdowns per game, throwing and running...and he completes 64% of his passes which helps the offense sustain drives. So, with him at the helm, we can average 24 points a game pretty easy. If the D gets teams off the field on 3rd down, that could be 27 points a game, which would be fantastic for a post-Marino Miami offense.
