I'm not declaring that, Saban and the team are:

I've suspected the Joey supporters who read Saban's comments were reaching a bit, since we all know Saban is not the most forthcoming coach with his comments unless pressed.

A day after quarterback Daunte Culpepper was placed on injured reserve, Dolphins coach Nick Saban reiterated his commitment to Culpepper heading into next season.
Players echoed Saban's hope that Culpepper, who is signed through 2013, will be Miami's quarterback of the future.
"Yeah, that's how we feel," backup quarterback Cleo Lemon said. "He wasn't fully healthy so he had to do his rehab and that's how it goes."
Running back Ronnie Brown agreed.
"Everybody knows the situation," Brown said. "It's just one of those obstacles you face."

Maybe it is more smokescreens, maybe the reporter misunderstood the comments, who knows. All I know is I'm excited at a healthy culpepper. Joey is already healthy and I don't get excited.

I'm excited about a healthy Culpepper too bro. Harrington isn't bad, but Culpepper has been special before and we need to see if we can get that out of him again. Explosive offense with THIS defense......hopefully it's not too good to be true.

Agreed. Joey is definitely NOT the future of this team - he's been passable at best. Looking forward to getting Duante back (and healthy this time) in the lineup, despite how bad it was at the beginning of the year (we're winning now because of our D, not bc of anything Joey is doing ). I actually think he was playing better than Joey is now - Duante was averaging 6.9 yards a pass while joey is averaging 6.1 yards a pass; duante had a slightly better completion percentage; and they have similar td:int ratios. Also, this was Duante's worst year, statistically - it's Joey's best. Hopefully he gets the speed (and confidence) back with further rehab.

All of that being said, we need to do something about these WRs - specifically, our #1 receiver is garbage. Booker is a great #2 and I love Wes as the #3 (with Hagan and Vick challenging for those duties) but we need a #1 receiver who can actually get open and catch the ball; Chris Chambers simply is not it. For that matter, I don't understand why we're still committed to McMichaels anymore either - although his blocking has gotten better, he isn't a superlative blocker and he's an overrated receiver.

Long story short - let's get Duante back healthy, and let's get him some real weapons (which includes probably going to a new o-coordinator; was never a fan of the Mularkey hire - his style doesn't match our talent. ie: our best offensive player is ronnie, and Mularkey managed not only to slow down mcgahee's career in buffalo but also completely neglect the running game in Pittsburgh - with the Bus and Duce Staley no less).

your in trouble with those opinions.

Culpepper is our guy and any one who is trying to convince themselves otherwise is just wearing blinders. Daunte will get healthy and be our pro bowl quarterback for years to come.

I don't really think so. Look at how good this team plays behind mediocre quarterbacking right now. We are 5-1 against some pretty tough teams with below average quarterbacking in that stretch. A healthy Daunte behind our improved line is twice as good as anything Joey will ever be.

Why is it that ths board constantly has to have pissing and moaning back and forth about 2 QBs on our roster???

Hell, I wish Dan could come back, and not simply because of his skills, but more so this constant teenage girl quarreling would end about our QBs.

I am so excited about watching a healty CP play with our team next year. It will complete our team in so many ways. Our defence has already shown how dominant they are so with CP behind center with Ronnie as the runner we will smoke the division.

P.S.
As long as or O-line plays how they have been lately this season

I for one was always against hiring DC. I always wanted Drew here. I hate to be right and I hope I am wrong in the future, but so far everything that I feared has become a reality. DC was successful, just like Cunningham was successful. I never thought DC would be a consistent QB. Now all we can do is wait and see. Why does it always seem so hard for us to get it right. :fire:

Actually he had 2 worse seasons than this year:

The thing that scares me is that soo many think that Dante has put up MANY great seasons. For having a "young and determined" Randy Moss on his team for most of those years, he really only had what you can consider 3 solid years. Plus, I have NEVER been a fan of scrambling quarterbacks. They just don't last that long in the NFL.

I am in favor of everyone to take off the blinders, weather you want Culpepper, Harrington or you want to see us pick up Ryan Leaf. Do the research and don't listen to the media. Its funny how so many at the beginning of the season stuck up for Culpepper saying that he was playing good and then the media comes out and says that he was rushed back this season; its almost written in stone and everyone suddenly agrees that he was not up to power.?..

Culpepper has played only four games as a Dolphin while not 100% healthy. Lets not judge him until next season when he is likely to be 100% and starting.

Why are 100% and starting linked? He has to play well to start, getting healthy does not mean playing well.

Next year it has to be a fair and open competition, handing Daunte the job this year didn't work out that well, doing the same next won't either.

Let the best man win in TC and Pre-season, lets not just hand it over.
