Culpepper: Knee surgery was a serious procedure

Not surprising. That's why Culpepper will be history if we do, indeed, acquire Green. He may be history if we DON'T acquire Green.

Culpepper, who was on the sideline, riding a stationary bike this morning, said the procedure to remove cartilage required a rehabilitation period of four to six months.

Anyone surprised that Saban lied to us again?

Saban had said at the time that the surgery wasn't a "serious thing".

I think most of us knew it was more serious then thought.

To be honest....I didn't. From all I read, it was just a cleanup procedure. I am sitting here defending him and saying give him a second chance based on that info I was reading. Don't I feel like an arse right now.... I still want to see him compete and get the starting role, but to see he is 4-6 months away....doesn't leave much time to evaluate him with the others now does it. I can see more people coming on here now calling for his head.....

4 to 6 months is a heck of a long rehab after cleaning up some loose bodies/cartilage. I think that it would make more sense to call the whole shebang an 18 to 24 month rehab. I've popped ligaments, but man, not 3 at one time. Not all rehabs go as well as Carson Palmer's.

Not so fast...790 the ticket just said his recovery time is 4-6 months! Can we panic yet?
I believe the 4 to 6 months timeframe was from the November surgery date, not today. The Fin's staff doesn't appear to be in a panic state (they've known this information for far longer than we have), why should we panic?

Would be nice if it did huh... Makes you wonder how truly bad the initial injury was and then how much more damage he did by rushing back.....

I think we ought to pay him another 8 mil this season, for him to ride his bike and sit on the sideline, while all the DC fans tell us to wait and have patience cause we gots ourselves an allpro QB. We have to give the poor guy a chance to compete for the job. It would not be fair to cut him if he is hurt. I want to hear from all you who have been defending this guy. Are you feeling a little betrayed yet? Disappointed? Decieved? are you pissed off yet? He knows he is hurt, but wont take a pay cut, why, cause he also knows this is it. His career is over. He is back home where he grew up and he is milking the community dry. Thank you DC its been greaty having you in a miami uniform.

Yea...I kind of made the same mistake as far as that. Then I said to myself...."self....thats not from today but from November"....

But the fact that this limp is "Considerable" from what I read....the 6 month timeframe is up in May... Man I hope he takes it easy and rehab gets him moving along without the limp. I hate the fact that all earlier reports had him as not limping... Makes the rest of us that read that and run with it look like a jackarse when we use that as proof to back our arguments to keep the guy....

For a cleanup he would have been ready for mini camp.
