"I just tried to make a play," Culpepper said. "The best thing, looking at it now, was just to throw it away. It's as simple as that."

Any Questions?

If he was trying to make a play he mustve been hallucinating... Maybe he thought he still played for the Vikes and that Dark Blue looked like Purple?

I give him credit for wanting to "make a play", but sometimes it just isn't there, and you have to take the points. In his mind, he needs to be thinking along those lines more often, no matter where we are on the field. Throw it away, and punt, don't take a sack or force a stupid throw....

One thing I've noticed over these last two weeks, is how well the Vikes QB B. Johnson manages a football game. Personally, I thought they would regret going with Johnson, but now I know why they decided to start him. He's a very consistant / smart QB who doesn't jeopardize his team with stupid mistakes. Not to mention, his team is now 2-0 as a result....

I saw the play he was trying to make.

It was ugly when I watched it as it happened, and its even more ugly now when we look back at it.

Daunte severly under-estimated the kind of throw that he was making and it led to a back-breaking entrance into half time.

if CPEP stinks it up against the titans, it'll be 3 and out!

And those are the kinds of mistakes that you'd expect a rookie to make, or J. Fiedler / R. Lucus / AJ Feeley....:nono:

Here is the deal, having played QB I understand what he saw. He has R.M. coming open in the front corner of the end zone. In a flash he tries to zip the ball to him. It was a good thought poorly executed. He needed to put more ark on the ball, go up and over the linebacker's head and it is a T.D.

When you throw on the run like he was doing, it is quite easy for the ball to come out "flat" on you when you try to make a quick pass, where as if your feet were settled it is significantly easier to put the required amount of touch on the ball.

Let me also say, he is just rusty right now, he will be okay, you saw what he is capable of with the great throw with tons of zip on it, to Chambers at the end of the game. Everyone just needs to relax, C-pep will be fine and we will get it going.
