Should he go or shouldn't he? we all would like to see him go but should he? I think he should go, whats the risk if he only plays a seris? he can only gain confidence. let him hand the ball of a couple times, maybe try a pass play, see what happens. he will need contact sooner or later, if the doctors clear him than he should be fine

I think if he feels fine let him go but only for a series or two. No need to rush him back and risk that knee getting worse

BTW does anyone know if Brees and Palmer are going to play?

No way should be play in the first pre-season game of the year. If it was the 3rd or 4th and he didn't take snaps yet, I would say yes, send him out there and let's see how he reacts but the first two pre-season games mean nothing in terms of seeing what your veterens have (you know by now) so I see no reason in sending him out there and having him re-injure himself because some 8th string guy decides to play like it's the Super Bowl!

Not at all. C-Pep is a vet and he doesn't need to rush into this first game. Give him a little more time then let him back into it slow.

No - he is fumbling way too many snaps in Training Camp and still needs work holding onto the ball. Which makes it seem like the knee is still bothering him and still needs time. That is OK - he will be fine in regular season & will probably see limited action by the end of pre season.

my view is that he hasn't played on the field in what 3/4 of a year? he needs to get confidence in himself and get a feel for the game again. yes he is a veteran but anybody who hasn't played for almost a year needs to regain a feel for gametime action

I dont think its clever to put him on the field now, but the docs have more information about that.

if i was the coach i would give him a week off and let him totally rest the knee,he's been going real hard in practice since day 1, lets protect are investment for the long haul not for our immediate gratification.

nope not nessecary whatesoever. maybe week 3 or 4 preseason. but he's a vet. and getting good time in camp. him being ready for week one is key. a preason screw up would be all time dumb mistake. give him time in week 3 and thats 2 more weeks to heal.

Saban will be smart about this

I haven't heard of a single problem with Daunte fumbling snaps in camp.
I don't know where that comes from.

I think he should play one series, but I know they're going to hold him out of the game. The reason I think he should take a series is because I can't imagine one more week of practice will round his knee into any better shape than it is right now. So, IMO, there's value in having him maintain a normal starter's schedule w/ regards to preseason.

I Want To See C Pep But I Rather Have Him Healthy So No I Dont Want Him To Play
