HONESTLY IF CULPEPPER CONTUNIES TO PUT THESE NUMBER UP IM NOT TO PLEASED
PASS AT CP TD INT LNG PR.
Daunte CulpepperMIA5126941135269.2

IT JUST SEEMS TO ME JOEY WOULD BE ALOT MORE SMARTER FOR SOME REASON WELL JUST TELL ME WHO AND WHY WE SHOULD START EITHER ONE BECAUSE IT JUST SEEMS GUS WAS DOING BETTER AFTER TWO GAMES.

I don't know if Joey is better at reading defenses but this offense needs a spark and if culpepper can't do it by midway through the titans game i think it will be time to see if joey can. I couldn't care less how it affects daunte's ego either.

Joey!

Before all the C-PEP fans begin the bash on this...I don't post to much on here at all, but read daily. I post only in times of desperation.

I love the pick up of C-PEP but he's not ready! More mentally than anything...he's scared to lose...he holds the ball to long...don't blame the o-line for the dropped ball in our opening drive or the int. in the redzone. That was all on Pep. and those two plays cost us more than anything the O-line did.

Pep is not ready! He's playing scared right now and Joey will add a spark to this team that Daunte just can't do right now.

You have to give Daunte atleast til after the Patriots game to prove himself. He has earned it throughout the course of his career. Come week 6 and he is still playing poorly, then i can see making a switch, but not til then imo because he still gives us the best chance to win.

Give him until week 6 and he still stinks and the season is then really over. I think if he can't produce against the titans it's safe to say he needs to be on the bench. There's no arguing that they stink.

I am a devoted Minnesota Viking fan but cant help myself when it comes to telling all of you Miami Dolphin fans that since the Vikings 41-0 debacle against the NY Giants in the 2001 NFC Title game, we learned a few things about Dante Culpepper. 1. Fragile ego 2. small hands 3. frequent fumbles in key situations 4. key interceptions in key situations 5. deer in the headlight look in key situations 6. cant drive the team to a 4th quarter win when trailing (never did it once) 7. nothing without Randy Moss 8. brilliant play when the team was ahead. 9. Cant read coverages (hence numerous sacks) The list goes on. Coach Childress couldnt wait to dump this guy..........sorry for all of you.

Well, if you can't believe you are reading this, you must not have watched the game!

Do not give me the crap of him just being rusty. I have watched more of Peps games than anybody else on this board more than likely. I live in the heart of Viking country. Every Vike fan has said this is what we had to look forward to. So far they were dead on.

He has always had a problem locking on the wr he want's to throw to. He has no bail out like Moss. Defeses' can scheme against him by adjusting fronts, looks and coverages. He does not read the D well, and is horrible at reading his progressions and getting the ball to where it need to be(on time when he does get it right). I have watched him live several times, and it is even more aparent when you are there live.

Brad Johnson came in to the exact same team last year and made the Vikes a far better team. A winning team! He understands how to read things. When to throw it away. Yes all qb's make mistakes, but not as many as Pep has. I do believe Pep will get better, but the offense will need to adapt to him as well as him trying to adapt to it.

This is a project, just like having a rookie in house. Do not bash those that question if this is the right move. Scouts',Gms', and other experts have the same view on this guy. If Pep were so great, New Orleans, Clev, Det, Hou, Buf, NYJ, Den, Bal, TB, Tenn, SF,ARI, Chi, Dal, Wsh, and Oak would have showed more interest. I mean if all it took was a 2nd, most of all those teams would take that chance.

I hope he shows drastic improvement, I just have not bought into this guy. I am unwilling to buy this bill of goods until I see a true top tier qb play in that #8.

For the $$$$$$ he is the bust of the year so far. Brees is performing far better, TO is better minus the broken finger. I will not really try to compare a wr to a qb in a pick up, but Brooks is as good as Pep and McNair is head and shoulders a better pick up thus far. JP Losman made Pep look like the young new mistake prone qb. Alex Smith looks like a pro bowler next to Pep.

The criticism is just and fair! PEP needs to contact Manning and learn how he studies, prepares, and practices! He does it w/ PASSION TO BE THE BEST!!!!!!!

A pretty accurate post. I truly wanted to believe that Brad Johnson wasn't the reason the Vikings got better. Daunte's making it really hard for me to believe that right now. I wanted him to be better than this as much as anybody.

Thanks, Vike fan! That is what those who have really watched the guy play can see. I mean if you look soley at a stat line, he played well yesterday.

I have always disliked the guy, but I am a Fin Fan thru and thru. I hoped he would be good but I was not going to get stabbed by this guy. I will not buy in even if he pulls off a 1-2 week stretch of being decent. 6-7-8 or more, then I will feel better, but until then, I still say he was worth no more than a 3rdand prob. just a 4th, especially considering the play of last year, and the injury!

I'm not really into all the Daunte bashing, but the guy is killing us...I just think that at this point we need to get Joey into the game.

i rekon joey should be given a shot to show us what he can do, i am not saying to oust culpepper straight away but should he not improve in the next game or 2 at the max. joey should deffinantly be given a run
