he has reportly gotten back to rehabbing his knee which he was sidetracked from in camp and pre-season, looks like he got too excited and went in to games too early. I know this was common thought but now he is admitting it. this means we need to bring up a player to fill his roster spot, maybe Vick?

He's still on the roster. The fact that he's not going to be playing does not free up a roster spot.

I thought that if a player was out than he could be replaced

Nope. The only way you free up Daunte's roster spot at this point other than cutting him would be to put him on IR. That would mean he would be out for the rest of the year. That might happen at some point but for sure not until after he's had at least several more weeks to see how the knee responds to the new focus in rehab.

Welcome to last week! JK man. Daunte said in his PC he hopes to be back in a couple weeks however Nick Saban said in his he does not yet know if this is a season long thing for Culpepper so they dont appear to be on the same page yet on this one. Should be interesting to see how it pans out.

Actually Saban said he was working to get Daunte back as an Emergency QB which would free up a roster spot and still allow Daunte to dress for the games however it would limit Daunte to only playing if both Joey and Cleo were taken out of the game.

Nobody "Circles the wagons" like the Buffalo Bills, or so Chris Berman says.
