I liked the ammended part of the interview.......

Kevin, I was at the press conference too and you failed to report the following Q&A's that were given:
Q: Daunte, what methodology do you use to research and break down defenses?
A: I play Madden every day until I win 3 consecutive Super Bowls. It gives me a great look at they types of defenses I face every Sunday.
Q: Daunte, last year at this time, you said you would be ready to go by the Season Opener. What happened?
A: Well I'll say whatever I need to to make Dolphins fans believe in me and make myself look good.
Q: Daunte, Where do you think the 'Fins should go in the Draft next weekend?
A: I think the wisest move would be for them to draft a QB. Maybe Edwards or Beck in the second round. Someone who wont throw an inexplicable interception 10 yards out from the goal line.
Q: Daunte, How's your relationship with Steve Young since he implied you had been missing meetings and you set him straight?
A: Good, he understands now that while I may have been a complete dissapointment on the field, I made sure to attend all meetings.
Q: Daunte: What do you think would be the best case scenario for you going into 2007
A: I would wake up and the date would be October 29, 2005, I would still be playing for the Vikings, my knee injury never would have happened and my career wouldn't be over.

...........and apparently Jim Mandich reported that he weighed in at 278 for mini-camp. Wow Daunte, great rehab you got going there.
 
Now we know why Daunte is such an "expert" in the mental aspects of the game.Seems he puts in comparable time as Zach Thomas only difference is one studies game film and is quite successful at it while one studies Madden
and has no clue to what is going on while on the field.

I'm sure Cam loves his players to game plan by using Madden...

Daunte is so GONE he might as well pack his bags because Cam wants a QB
that is Intelligent above all else.Although the last sentence is very amusing about his career being over is very accurate.

Perhaps you should look at the real interview instead of comments from other people.

I wouldn't say it's good news if you don't when you will be ready. We need a QB that is ready now, absorb the playbook and apply it on the field. Come June or July it's too late.

Dude... you do know that comment wasn't ACTUALLY from the press conference, right? It was a joke Q&A that someone made up. They were making fun of Dante. Please restore my faith in humanity and tell me you didn't actually think it was real...

You misspelled "writing" and "offered". When you criticize others' prose, it's important to spell check your responses... you know... to avoid irony.:rolleyes2
 
Look more like Typos than misspellings to me, accidently hitting an extra letter or not pressing the key... doesnt matter, so long as people can actually understand you without having to use a dictionary (who the heck uses 'Prose' in real life?) what does it matter?

As for the article, its everything to be expected from a player thats uncertain about his future. Not only with the injury but with all the Trent Green and Brady Quinn talk hes gotta be worried his days in Miami are closing fast.

Loved the parts that were posted by Depressed Dolfan though. Made up or not, some of those answers are the literal translations of some of the BS that come out of athletes mouths.
