DAVIE – Dolphins quarterback Daunte Culpepper returned to the practice field Friday morning after being held out of most of Thursday's session because of what coach Nick Saban has described as a sore right (throwing) shoulder.

Culpepper participated in drills with his teammates, throwing short passes to wide receivers and running backs during the early portion of the session. The rest of the practice was then closed to the media before the Dolphins began team drills in preparation for Sunday's game at New England.

I want him to start, but not against New England with only a couple days' practice. Let Culpepper do his one-read-I'm-lost routine again this week and get further exposed. If Harrington were to start this week against a Belicheck defense with little preparation, the resulting massacre would only fuel the Culpepper apologists the rest of the season.

I can only hope we can win with defense and a running attack (not likely, I know).

The only thing better for the Pats than Culpepper starting is an injured Culpepper starting. At least with Joey you don't really know what you're getting.

Surprise, surprise. He was throwing short passes to the backs and recievers. Has he thrown anything else this year? :D

Did anybody actually read the link? It says it the Dolphins are undecided if Daunte will start. Not that he practiced friday and will start. Seems like an excuse to give Joey a shot. I said it will be week 4 or 5 when he gets a shot.

joey may start
