Culpepper to be "ready for next camp"

So c-pep is at 90%, not bad. This should be an interesting training camp with culpepper trying to prove that he will be the starter. I don't know about anyone else but when culpepper says he's ready I still don't believe him..

Man, I really hope C-pep can make it back 100%. I'm pulling for him to be our QB for many many years.

For many many years???? If he can even start this year (Highly doubtful), I think the John Beck acquisition pretty much guarantees that C-pep won't be in 'Fins uniform next year. Thank the Lord!!!! :cooldude:

Though I do have my doubts about his knee getting healthy, it is great news. With him healthy is will just create more competition in camp.. May the best man for the job win.

Many years isn't going to happen but I'd be happy with him saving us from having to watch Lemon tank a season for us. We still have the potential of Green coming in as well.

Either one, Green or Culpepper starting will allow me not to regret forking out the cost for season tickets.

Yeah, this should be interesting. If he gets back to 100% watch all the hate he was getting from some Dolphin fans turn to love. I hope he returns to health just to put into the faces of those that quite on him for doing nothing wrong but being injured. Maybe coming back to soon was in part his fault, but he just wanted to play and help the team. Nothing wrong with that kinda heart in my book.

I watched the awards banquet last night and JT was showing Daunte some love. I hope Daunte comes back and Makes Cams job an easy one. Put Daunte in let him lead this team for a couple of years and let Beck take his time in learning the sytem. That's the best possible outcome for this team IMO. Oh, and we don't need no stinkin Green!!!

I'm not so sure. I was pretty much doubting Culpepper's status before the draft, but after not ending up with Trent Green over that weekend and listening to Randy and Cam's press conference the night they introduced Ginn, Beck, Satele, and Booker - calling getting DC healthy their number one priority, I'm almost convinced now they're willing to see what he can do. Either way, there's no sense in rushing Beck onto the field. Looking at Cam's past team in San Diego, they drafted Philip Rivers and Drew Brees still ended up starting the remaining two years of his contract. With that said, I'd have to hope they'd give a 3-time Pro Bowler the benefit of the doubt about remaining on the roster if he proves to be healthy AND effective this season.

I Disagree...... If C-Pep plays this year and shows the Culpepper of old then he plays again next year and probably the year after that until he declines again, or gets hurt. Now this is of course "IF" C-pep comes back healthy and plays very very well which IDK if that will happen or not, but if it does then C-Pep is our guy, and Beck could be sitting a few years like Aaron Rodgers is in Green Bay or like Schaub did in ATL.

Yeah, we don't need QB's, let's just dump them all and give the job to the kickers.

why is everybody so down on c-pep. Satan rushed him back and he played in 5 games for god's sake. i hate to give up on him now and get nothing for him

If Peyton doesn't break Marino's TD record, we're talking about the league's MVP here. let's see the guy healthy.

Out of respect for Beck I hope that's not the plan. He's 26. By that plan he won't take a snap until he's 30--great way to ruin a promising career. I don't think Cam/Shea/Mueller would have taken him at #40 if they thought he was going to sit.
