This commentary is along the lines of how I think about Campbell..he's a burner with good hands, key: good hands. We've seem plenty of speedsters, but they couldn't hold onto a basketball, even if it were toss to them slowly from 5 feet away. The Campbell deal really got me excited when we picked him up earlier this year, because I kept thinking another burner to go along with CC and Booker, in a 3 receiver set, 2 of the 3 are burners defenses would have to respect...and while booker isn't a burner, he's not exactly slow..i.e., the way he pull away from the Denver db's in the opener last year after catching that 15 yards gotcha play, and in SD where he pull away from their db's, so he has to be respected speed wise as well. Then we have Hagan, Welker, and Aromashodu, route runner, good speed and burner respectively. The difference in our 2nd tier is experience at the position in the NFL, with Welker having only 1 year under his belt as the 3rd WR last year. So far after OTA's and mini camp..all these guys plus Gibson, Murphy, and Russell and company is that they catch the ball.. Now the real test of our 2nd to 3rd tier guys will come with the pads on..the 1st tier has proven they can play in pads when it counts.
