The Raiders were intrigued with Daunte Culpepper last offseason before he was dealt to Miami. Now there is a chance they might be able to land him without any compensation. He could be the perfect bridge, the quarterback to play until the Raiders deem potential No. 1 overall pick JaMarcus Russell ready to take the field. And just imagine this unlikely possibility: Oakland decides not to trade disgruntled wide receiver Randy Moss. And the Raiders do land Culpepper. It would be, once again, Culpepper to Moss.

They can have him. Not like that team is going anywhere anyways. Even with Culpepper, they're still behind the Broncos, Cheifs, and Chargers.

ive been saying this all week. culpepper goes to oakland and oak picks johnson first. that send Quinn/russell to det and AP goes to clev. minn has faith in jackson and are not gonna use another high pick on QB.they really need a vet to help jackson though. maybe bledsoe, green (even though miami is almost done with the deal)... that would sent Quinn/russell to miami. miami might even trade up a few spots two 6 and guarentee a QB.

[mod] lets talk about the thread, not the posters![/mod]

, well then my name is dave wannstedt and i recommend picking a linebacker named taboo ,kaboo from porter hill university.:sidelol:

id rather fix our O-line this year, get David Carr...make him a dang good QB...then trade him. look if someone will give up 3 picks for matt schaub, why wont they give up 3 for david carr? we could at least trade him to get an early 2nd next year...move up and draft our franchise QB, my favorite, Brian Brohm

noone would trade 3 picks for carr because everyone knew he would be dropped if they couldnt make a trade.

I think anything is a chance at this point in free agency. So much quarterback turnover lately that its easily a possibility.

I know this. Culpepper is done. Whether the Miami Dolphin organization or the fans accept it or not, he is.

One problem with that scenario. Trying to fix the offensive line wouldn't be no guarantee. While trying to roll the dice on Carr to use as trade bait for next year to get better position for a draft pick to get a Qb. Too risky in my book. Our best chance may be in the here and now. We have decent draft position. Plus Carr would cost us more for a one year fix. Can you guarantee Carr would have a good year? Could you guarantee that scenario would happen. I couldn't. I would say that we draft one now while we can.

uh no, more like another miami player goes somehwere and SHINES like a good player n we say why are we so damned.

In other news, if they still get russell it wont affect the draft so its pointless and if we let him go for FREE thats just simply STUIPD. etiher let him compete u see he is 100% crap n let him go or trade him for osemthing.
