Culpepper has less mobility and confidence this year but he still can get the job done if he has protection. The offensive line needs to learn how to be tougher and block alot better. Ronnie would break a hundred every week if they could run block like other teams. If the O-line does not get better quickly the Dolphins could have a very lousy season. If the O-line gets better the Fins will kick butt. Go Dolphins.:dolphins:

Cpep routinely had 4+ seconds to release the ball against Buffalo. Also note that he got sacked 6 times... it's the same oline as last year, and Frerotte got sacked the least number of times per attempt in the entire league last year. Cpep is garbage.

the o-line has been horrendous this year..

All the time in the world won't help Pepper if he doesn't get his mechanics under control. He needs to set and throw, and he apparently had plenty of time to do so in the Bills game.

Ok really, I'm tired of it being from one extreme to the other. There were a few plays that C-Pep didn't get any protection. There were other plays that he got plenty of time and didn't even throw the ball. Its not been as extreme as everybody is making it out to be. Has the O-Line looked great, NO have the looked extremely bad, NO. They look like a line that has a chance, but needs to have more playing time together. Much like last year, for the first 5 games that is all people talked about was the O-Line and then they came together and played good the rest of the year. Give them some time, and hopefully Nick has a line that he is impressed with because we cant afford to keep changing it every year.

Culpepper is playing terrible. There were plenty of opportunities in both games where the blocking was good and Culpepper screwed up the play.

I agree... Cpep didnt look very good. All across the league blitzing defenses are a norm in this league.. and having hot routes to counter them is apart of game planing.
I dont no where to start my criticism, but staring with the coaching to line to Cpep.. they all have to take blame and be part of the solution. The best teams in the league have to deal with the blitz... they just do it better.

I dont think the OL is Culpepper's problem. If you guys watch the game back, he lacked poise and seemed scared. Tom Brady was smacked in the face all game long, but when it came down to it, his poise showed and he made a couple plays that got NE back in the game.

Culpepper did have those chances. On one pass he overthrew a WIDE open Chris Chambers, there was no one near him. Then on another play, 3rd and like 8, he held the ball too long, he had Welker I think crossing the field WIDE open, Culpepper didnt even see him and he was right in front of him, instead Culppper ran right into the arms of Bills LB Crowell.

I think the OL was ok, they opened holes for Ronnie Brown and gave Culpepper decent time in the 2nd half. But Culpepper was just not comfortable, like a VET QB should be.

As bad as Mularkey is, Culpepper was worse in this game.

Completely agree. Culpepper was rattled and he looked like a rookie trying to learn the NFL . Even worse, he looked like an injured rookie with eyes reminiscent of the "deer staring at the headlights" cliche .

Brady was hit alot vs the jets and bills and fumbled making a few mistakes . But the difference is it doesn't faze him, he's a cool customer.. He just goes in the next drive and it looks like he's half asleep he's so calm and composed.. That Brady is the definition of poise and true leadership. He's a winner.

Culpepper isn't even 15% as tough minded as Brady is.. The problem with Culpepper is between his ears.. I'd rather have a smart and poised Qb than one with a cannon arm who gets rattled when he sees the the goodyear blimp circling the stadium panicking and thinking it's gonna crash on him ..

What, Culpepper has problems reading defenses and seeing wide open receivers?? Who would have guessed that?

I mean, who besides all the Minnesota fans that told us that.

Thats true, he never looked comfortable. But that line needs to play better, hell the whole team needs to play better.

Yeah, the whole team needs to play better, but, heck, when we had Fiedler, Feeley or Frerotte we could win like that.

I don't remmember Brady completing over 70% of his passes, that's right he completed less than 50%, culpepper had over 70%. I don't remmember the dolphins running for over 180 yards against the bills either. I think brady had more turnovers 2 and I think one of those was for a TD, yeah the patriots won, but good ol' Tom, had 2 running backs run for more yards then Brown managed, so maybe if we had of run for over 180 yards we would have won too... Stop blaming culpepper, he had a rough start in the home opener, he was probably to excited playing in front of the home town, both fumbles were on the first drive, no fumbles after the first drive... He threw one bad interception at the end of the half, trying to make something out of nothing...
He overthrew chambers once, last time I checked no one completes 100% of there passes.

Its not just the O-line thats losing the game for us... ITs true, the O-line has played shakey, but when it does block well (either running or passing) it seems its one of the other players that makes the bonehead mistake..

There was several times, I seen McMicheals wiff on his blocking and his man either made the tackle or put pressure on CP... Chambers lack of heads up ball playing on one running play to the right cost the team an easy 6 points... Chambers had to block his DB and then it was open running all the way to the endzone for Ronnie.. Instead, Chambers went after the safety who was not in position to make a play and Chamber's DB made an open field tackle on Ronnie.

How many times have you seen a blitz coming and the half/full back doesnt make a good block and once again CP or RB is under pressure....

The o-line is not the best and I beleive its still work in progress, but defenses would have more respect for our O as a hole if the other 7 players would step up when needed..
