Culpepper's head, not knee, the problem (link)

I agree with this. You can't doubt his skills. When the team is supporting him he's Hell on wheels But when he has the team on his shoulders he blows out a knee...

... he works for Nick now. He has structure, defined goals and quality coaches. Nick will beat it into his brain...like he did everyone else. Do YOUR job, everything else will be fine.

He has yet to show he's capable of being even average without Randy Moss.

That was a pretty crappy article, imo. It was a weak attempt to discredit the poor guy yet again. He's been on a team that didn't have any defense or anything resembling a ground game. That usually tends to put pressure on the QB. He shouldn't feel any of that pressure because he's gonna have good run support, maybe excellent if Ricky returns, a defense that can keep a lead, and good skill players around him that can also make plays. Saban has already shown us that his coaching style emphasizes players knowing THEIR assignment, taking care of THEIR business, and playing hard for 60 minutes no matter what the score. I see this as a non-issue due to our coaching...

Nonsense. No one knows what it was like to be Dante Culpepper in Minnesota last season except Dante Culpepper.

The Vikings are going through some big changes. Last season, it was Moss that left. This season, it is Culpepper and Tice that are gone. Minnesota is trying to remake their identity. It will take a few years. Dante leaving was a good thing.

A QB should not have to do 'too much'. They should simply have to play well and make good decsions. That should equate to wins, if the rest of your teammates are doing their jobs. The Vikings were obviously putting too much pressure on Dante. External pressures that had nothing to do with football.

Dante will not have that problem in Miami. Saban will ask him to do his job at QB - to be consistent. That is all. Dante will thrive under that kind of system. No worries about Dante. He will return this season, and he will easily be better than any QB Miami has had since Marino.

It wasn't Moss so much as it was his all pro center Matt Burke.

If Saban can take a guy like Frerrotte and win 9 games with him, he'll have no problem winning a lot more with a guy that has the physical skills that DC has. This is no problem for a coach like Saban.

In Saban We Trust!

So says the rube who has Loserman, oh wait a minut,e who do you have the Colts old backup from ten years ago?

I stopped reading the article 1/2 way through...

1st of all he's NOT the savior for this team, he is a single cog in the gearset.

2nd I really could not grasp the basis for this article. That article could remain the same with nearly every player on the team...at least the 1st 1/2 since I stopped reading it.

...continues to bring a knife to a gunfight.

I can't locate the actual stats to back this up, but I'm almost positive:

Randy Moss' last year in purple he was injured quite a bit. Daunte was still putting him very good numbers without him. That was also Linehans last year there.
