like a lot of others on here I am an avid dolphins fan. i know the roster and depth charts and future propects in aprils draft like a some of you. one thing that i can't find is a no b/s assessment of daunte's knee. i know that he torn three ligaments and that he's on schedule for rehab, but what i don't know is when he is expected back. training camp, pre season, or what. any detailed hard facts are apreciated. thanks

Daunte will miss all of the preseason games. At the earliest, he will be ready for week one. At the latest, he will be back late October.

Daunte said in an interview with ESPN that he would be ready by week one but I still am reluctant about that. I believe he will be playing by week 4 though.

He said he will be ready for week 1, GO BY HIS WORD HE WILL BE READY he WONT MISS A GAME

from what saban last said at his press conference was culpepper was taking easy drops and doing sprints. he cant cut yet but its still good progress.

Yeah I heard he was ahead of schedule

I'm praying it's Week 1 cause I think it's going to be a great game between the Steelers and Dolphins.

If that's the case Id prefer for him to take 2006 off and rehab completly. This is now our franchise QB. A 3 time pro bowler. He is the closest thing to Marino we have had in a while. I dont want to risk this cat getting injured further physically or most important mentally. It would be just what happen to Mcintosh he came back to early...looked like shyt and we all turned on him.

You just can't do that in the NFL, it's a win now league. Taking a year off pretty much puts the season to rest and with the talent we have, that wouldn't be a smart idea. I think we are primed for a good playoff run this year and if it takes Pepper a few extra weeks to be ready for the season so be it. I'll put my confidence in Harrington (Sign please:D ) for the first couple of weeks.

No one knows for sure. People can guess all they want. But give it a few more months and maybe we will know something more definate.
