Please click the cumulative effect od QB hits in the first sentence to understand the follow up. This is a VG read from PFF on how sacks as well as hits affect a QB on those plays, as well as the plays that follow in a game in accuracy and picks. PFF does not include team sacks. So, Tannehill was sacked 51 times, and hit 42 times on 684 pass plays.
They also do not include hurries in this article. RT was hurried 131 times, and obviously did not play as well under that pressure as opposed to without it.
On a different note, we gave up 42 hits and 131 hurries (in addition to 51/58 sacks) on 684 pass plays, ranking #16. Houston, with Benton, gave up 27, 55, and 180 on 711 pass plays, and was ranked below us in overaLL pass protect, which makes perfect sense to me.
A little food for thought.
