Does anyone know how pro personnel directors scout practice squad players from other teams? It's not like you can acquire practice tape from another team and there's usually no game film on practice squad players beyond the preseason, so the scouting department would seemingly have to make a projection based only on college and preseason tape.
When a player is signed from another practice squad, that player must be signed to the acquiring team's active roster. So when another team poaches a practice squad player, how do they know how that player is developing and if the player is worth the roster spot investment?
Just curious for anyone that might have some insight.
