Current dolphin owner makes you appreciate huzenga

I love your comment lower on the scale choice like Mike Mularkey, i guess you forget we scheduled him for an interview and for all we know he might be the person that Ross and company would choose, its not like the other canidates have a better resume. Mularkey decided not to interview because at the interview in Jacksonville that lasted 7 hours they offered him their head coaching job.

Also what risk did we takle last year. we could have fired Sparano and actually did a coaching search but instead we get a a badly conducted attempt at a hire of harbaugh, one that was destined to fail and then decided hey there is nobody better than sparano out there lets extend him and give him more power.;
Lower scale in compared to Fisher, yes. Any of the assistant coaches we could potentially hire are on a lower scale than Fisher. Yes, I know we were scheduled to interview him, doesn't mean they were going to hire him. I am personally glad he took the Jags job, didn't want him anywhere near the Dolphins.

Dlockz:

I love you man, but you are way off this time. Nublar7 is spot on.

Spot on about what? that ross hasnt been able to get a coach to accept a job in miami no matter if he offered them 100 million dollars a year? money doesnt even matter, thats how bad it is in miami right now, stadium is empty every game, ppl arent even paying attention to the games anymore, you ppl dont realize just bad this franchise is sinking every year with the terrible decisions this ross owner makes. Keep supporting him though, just make sure you are happy with 4-12 records every year cause thats what dysfuctional gets ya and thats exactly what the dolphins are and will stay as long as ross keeps this snake ireland.

Im glad he took the jags job too , seems like lack a lack of balls just to sit around and be a teams second choice when you are another teams first choice. I mean who knows you might luck up and get the job after the coach that the team really wanted turns them down. All three florida jobs are pretty equal and a bird in the hand is worth multiple birds in the bush. Back to my point though your beloved hiring group was bringing him in as an interview and it was not to fulfill the rooney rule so you have to figure he was a viable canidate even if you cant stand him. In short terms they obviously liked something about him. Mularkey overall was going to be interviewed by three teams which is fairly impressive since at time there were only so many opening s at time

You make some good points there, but your thread is titled "Current dolphin owner makes you appreciate huzenga". Not sure you supported that with your arguments and I think Nublar7 was kind of refuting that thread title with his critique where he is basically saying that getting the coach you target doesn't necessarily translate to making a good decision, thus, not necessarily a better owner. I agree more with him.

My point was you have to appreciate that huzienga never let any team beat him out on what he wanted. lets not act like the niners gave harbaugh all control and 100 million dollars

No matter what, I will always hate Huizenga. Remember, he's also the reason Ross is the current owner.

Money isn't the biggest consideration for NFL coaches. OK, i could take 4 million with this team or 5 million with that team. Families, location, control, perks, etc. etc. etc. make a big differene. Nublar7 is spot on because he notices that Ross went after the right coaches, but also didn't cave in to their demands. Ross made the right decision to fire Sparano and to keep Ireland who did a great job with the draft last year and has helped him tremendously with the other league he manages. 4-12 hasn't happened under Ross, so that is just BS. Ross is making good decisions, our team was competitive this year, has good talent, and is poised to take the next step. He is doing much more than Huizenga the garbage man ever did, whose last season was 1-15 and the absolute worst it could get.

ross three seasons three losing seasons
huzienga 13 seasons three losing seasons

yes ross is doing way better

lmao. ross doing better than huizenga? hahahhahahah!

money was the hole point of the post i made, money doesnt matter but that was besides the point, point is, dolphins structure is dysfunctional and no coach wants to come to a team with our problems unless they have the power to fix it, which our clueless owner doesnt seems to understand.

If you have a strong opinion and conviction about a head coach, you do everything not to lose.
If you cave in at the 11th hour, you really did not want him to begin with.
Fisher wanted veto power over Ireland, and Ross caved in.
In the end, I would trust Fisher's experience over Ireland and Ross in player personnel decisions.

Yah I really appreciate the man who helped put us in this situation (hiring JJ, Wanny, Saban, Cameron, Parcells with Sparano).

wel, is Ross any better he just stuck with his losing coach fro three years and gave him a friggin extension before he fired him lol

My point was Ross has been 0-2 trying to get the coach he actually wanted and huzienga always got the coach he wanted. dont give me this crap about better business mindset when he goes and tries to hire a coach while he still had a coach therefore making him go back to sparano supposedly give him more power in personel and an undeserved extension. I would compare the hires but so far ross just keeps striking out when he makes a choice.
Completely agree. You guys really need to learn to read before you bash the OP.

You all need to stop talking about Ross being able to outbid anyone, because money does not buy commitment.

Oh I got fans that just cant wait to chime in when I make a post. Look how fast my post actually gets a rating lol and of course its an awful rating. Not saying this was post of the year but Im pretty sure I made a valid point.
In the end we may luck up and get a good coach but no matter what he didnt get his first choice. Hey Im crazy anyway I would have liked Mularkey as coach, obviously he impressed jacksonville in the interview , they chose him at the end of his interview. jacksonville also interviewed current finheaven favorite Chudinski and passed over him for the horrid Mularkey.

well ross was already behind the 8-ball as san francisco was harbaugh's dream job with his family situation and apparently fisher insisted on usurping his pet ireland, which wasn't going to happen. huizenga went after relatively much easier catches except for arguably jj.
