Speaking of playing long shots, back in 95 I was there and intended on throwing $10 each on Jax and Carolina, they were something like 500-1 to win the conference, I never got back to the Sports Book before we left.

I bet you can see where this story is going, well of course as luck would have it not one but BOTH teams made the Championship games, needless to say I was dying. I was so glad that neither one had won and advanced to the SB that year. :eek:
 
Imagine the scene from the movie "Casino" where DeNiro goes into the bookies shop and lays down his bets. He's betting on the Dolphins:cool: LOL.

I'll be at either the Aladdin or the Flamingo second week in June. Haven't quite decided yet. MGM Grand is really too grand for me. Beautiful hotel but waaay too big! :eek:
And the sports betting rooms have the oddest people in them. :lol: There always dark, smokey and with people who look like they haven't seen day light in 5 years all watching dog racing from Thailand at 4am......
 
I got $100 at 40:1 on the Bills right before we signed Sam Adams :hump:

After it was confirmed that he signed, the odds went down to 25:1


That's $4000 :)
 
A few weeks ago(04/11/03), just before Junior signed with the team, I placed my annual bet on the Fins to win it all.. The odds then were 12-1. to win superbowl, 7-1 to win AFC and 7-5 to win AFC EAST..

Thanks to FinHeaven, I feel I had inside information on the Jr. signing :)
 
Does anyone know what St. Louis' odds were for making it last year? These days in the NFL, nobody knows anything. Start of the season, it's all up for grabs.:o

Then why aren't we the third most popular team every year? What did we do to become so popular? Did missing the playoffs make all the bettors think we will go to the Super Bowl this year....Was it the annual december swoon that caused the bettors to swoon all over the Dolphins?
