Can't blame the Bulls, its irresponsible to put a player on the court that could die if he keeps playing. Guess Isiah has more medical knowledge than the Bulls do. Have to wait and see the final deal, they say draft picks are involved who knows with Isiah.

Ah, you beat me.

 Well at least you checked for a thread existing already, one of the few that actually does that.

Yeah, that was the one good thing, I guess. Nine stinking minutes...

I dont think Isiah is ever gonna win anything for the Knicks,,,,he always likes to pull the trigger, but usually ends up with crap players and bad deals.

This trade works out if Curry is healthy and is another bone head move by Isiah if he's not. I like the trade though it gives the Knicks a young, youthful big man in the middle who has a ton of upside (and was starting to show it the last 2 years). If Curry is OK, this is a steal (we got rid of bum Tim Thomas so I'm psyched), if not, I think Isiah needs to find a new job because it's obvious he wouldn't have done his homework on this kids health!

Didn't the Knicks just draft a Center? Regardless, if Curry turns out OK, then they just turned that team from a playoff misser to a first round sweep. That's progress, I guess.

The trade hasn't even gone through. Lots of stuff still to be worked out.

And IF the guy is ok to play health wise, then what's the problem with the trade?

The Knicks stole this one. It gives them a true big man that they were lacking, at least on offense. They're gonna have to teach him to play defense & how to rebound, he's the worst. Larry is gonna have his hands full trying to get his 5 young starters (Marbury, Crawford, Q, Frye, & Curry). He's gonna have to teach them how to play defense & how to pass. All of them, save for Frye, is a ball hog.

Curry is the only talented guy in the deal. IF healthy, its a steal for Isiah.

Larry knows this is a work in process. But the talent level is improving with the Knicks. Now Larry must do his thing.

I dont consider the trade a steal since Curry has a ton of question marks. Not only could he literally die on the court from his condition, if its that bad, but he has always been an underachiever. Hes always been lazy, coincidentally he has his best year when his contract is up. Those arent players good Gms trade for. I thought he signed James earlier? Isiah doesnt know what he's doing, this move will blowup just like all his moves do.

If his heart condition is so bad he could "DIE ON THE COURT" why in the hell doesn't the NBA throw him out of the league? Why does the NBA let a guy with that kind of health risk even play?

I think this is once again a case of the media blowing something minor into something huge.

How serious were Reggie Lewis and Hank Gather's conditions? People thought they could play with their conditions and those two guys are dead. Yea, hes probaly alright, maybe the media is blowing it up, but after the Lewis and Gathers deaths I think its reasonable to have serious caution.

Basically, this is a high-risk, high-reward deal. Either Curry's medical condition forces him out of the league, or he's the 18 ppg center the Knicks have been searching for since Patrick Ewing's game fell off a cliff.

Or, alternately, he does exactly what I expect Jerome James to do: be happy about his contract, gain enough weight to be visible from space, and play like garbage.

I actually like this for the Knicks, considering their "plan", and I use that term loosely. Isiah has completely given up on the idea of an actual rebuilding program and taking advantage of the cap space he was going to have in a couple years. Instead, he's hell-bent on acquiring as much talent right now as possible, and doing it for the lowest price. Fine. He got a talented big man who can score, and traded some cap flexibility (Thomas's deal comes off the books after this year). There are very few centers out there with Curry's size, talent, and scoring touch. So it's a risk worth taking.

There is no re-building with the Knicks. They can't. They can't rebuild win 20 games for 3 straight years, be a lottery team, and charge thousands of dollars for courtside seats. THIS IS A BUSINESS FIRST!!!!!!!!!!! People forget that. Revenue is the name of the game.
