What's your take on Boomer Sooner ILB Curtis Lofton?

Is he good enough at #32? Will he even drop to #57?

Man him and Crowder could be very efficient up the middle... I can envision Lofton in Aqua & Orange for 10 years like Zach...

thoughts?????

Everything I am hearing is that his height could be a liablility. He will likely be there at 32, but I would question the team taking him there. My guess would be the team would take Conner there before Lofton.

I don't think they would take Lofton at #32, he does not really fit the size that the FO is looking for. Jerod Mayo at #32 would, as would Connor. Lofton at #57 is a possibility, and he might just go there.

I suspect that Beau Bell in the 4th round is a better possiblity. Not sure that any linebackers will be taken in the second round. OL, QB, CB yes, but probably not LBs.

Lofton is bigger than Mayo though....just not as tall. I think Lofton would play to the 3-4 scheme better than the other lbs mentioned

I think Lofton with the chargers pick we have would be a lot better than at 32. I'm hoping at 32 we can get James Hardy, Devin THomas, or the corner from Indiana

I don't expect the Dolphins would take any Inside Linebacker from college and play him at Inside Linebacker in their 3-4 scheme. I'm of the belief that they will take purely Outside Linebackers from college and play them at Inside Linebacker in their 3-4 scheme...just like they'll take Defensive Ends from college and play them at Outside Linebacker in their 3-4 scheme.

I think we need ILB more than OLB this season. Granted we are probably moving JT and Porter is getting long in the tooth but when you look at our depth at both positions, OLB holds some promise with Moses, Wright, Anderson and maybe Roth (? I cant picture him as a 3-4 DE and I dont think we keep him as strictly a situational 4-3 rusher) whereas ILB is just a bare cupboard. Kelvin Smith has the Pasqualoni connection from Syracuse but does he have the athleticism. Edmond Miles is only 230 or so but might fit as the weakside ILB

i have talking about him for weeks..i love this guy..i could care less about how tall he is ..he is a tackling machine..with that said i dont see tuna taking a lb at the 32 spot...but i wouldnt be mad if we did and it was him
