I am shocked that Porter and Crowder have the audacity to call out coaches and the organization. This is a simple issue. Joey Porter was not performing. Period. There's a reason why teams motioned to his side and ran plays directly at him. They knew he was the weak link.

As for Crowder, he better take a long look in the mirror before stirring up trouble. Why don't you try and cover a tight end once in a while? How about working on taking better angles to the ball carrier?

Bottomline, are either of you in the Pro Bowl? Then shut the hell up and play some ball!

Damn what did I miss? Did crowder say something about the front office?

He was on WQAM today with Porter yuckin' it up.

If he was showing his *** then he sure deserves something to happen. I'm sure Joey's his boy and all but that's the kind of talk you should know too stay out of. What a damn moron!! :rolleyes2:

Crowder should realize he isn't worth the 6 million he got this year or the 6 million he is owed and just shut his mouth and try to be a good player instead of just a guy that runs his mouth

Agreed in full...

Sparano missed the boat by not silencing loudmouth Porter mid season and now is dealing with the fallout.

Crowder should be cut on the spot to set an example that Insubordination will not be tolerated!

All I heard Crowder say today was that Wake is a legit 4-3 DE right now because he can really get after the Qb and tackle. He also said 3-4 OLB's need to cover TE's and Wake is still learning the position.

What I heard him say about Porter was that he finished the season with seven sacks in seven games and finished strong. He also said that finishing a season strong is generally a problem for older guys in the league but Porter showed he could. He also mentioned that whenever there is a team meeting, before games, and at half time there is no question amongst the players who the team leader will be or who is going to address the team, it's Porter. Then he said he wasn't sure how much value our front office put into Porter's leadership.

He did say he could understand Porter wanting play full time and can't blame him for that. I don't think Crowder said anything that resembled bi****** at all. I know Crowder isn't Ray Lewis at all but he is still a starting caliber linebacker and we were obviously a better defense this season when he played. That doesn't say much considering our linebackers all played poorly this year but we can't replace all of our linebackers in one offseason.

We need Crowder back healthy next season. I'm sure he knows he was only offered a three year contract because there are concerns about his consistency. To his credit he accepted the contract because he plans on working hard and improving. The way I look at it is, if our defense showed improvement when he was in the lineup then we should be much better if we can find upgrades for Akin and Porter.

It may seem like vocal guys like Porter and Crowder are "leaders," but what they actually do is divide the lockerroom and make the environment less comfortable. Sort of like class clowns, playground bullies, etc. I bet a good percentage of Dolphin players think Crowder is an overrated fool who needs to shut up and perform.

Another thing about Crowder, he always went for the big hit. Consequently he missed the tackles when the rb would juke him.

He did that 2 -3 times ever game. It was funny and sad at the same time. I called them air tackles. LOL

we mos def need to over haul all of the lb's and get younger and faster

Crowder sounded to me in the interview like he was echoing everything Porter was saying.

Channing Crowder is one of the worst middle linebackers I have ever seen start for this team. He takes bad angles and gets "caught in the wash" because of it. He doesn't get off his blocks well, he is not a great tackler, he can't cover, and he never makes a big play. Why did this team give him a new contract last year? I just do not get it. I really think Crowder is this regime's biggest mistake since they have been in control.

dont watch much football do you? Crowder is no pro bowler, but he is a very decent to good starting ILB. With some guys around him he will flourish. He is no where near the worst ILB you have ever seen, ayodele is way worse and thats just on our team.

I've been a Crowder backer in the past but what he did yesterday was wrong. I know he was a guest host and he was interviewing a disgruntled teammate, but he went too far by questioning the coaching staff.

From Tim Grahams blog on ESPN.com:

Crowder claimed the players were stunned to learn Sparano had benched a defensive captain for such an infraction.

"We thought he knocked Tony out," Crowder said.

"It was an uncomfortable situation among the team, and I know I'm not the only one."

"If the game's on the line, I want my two Pro Bowlers coming off the edges, Crowder said. "That's my mind as an inside linebacker.

"If I see different guys out there, not bad mouthing anyone, I'm going to be like 'Peezy, you straight? You good? You healthy? J.T., you straight? You healthy? Why aren't you all out there?'

"It was a funny situation among the team. The coaches and team are all supposed to be together as one, but there's till that camaraderie that gathers. It was an uncomfortable situation among the team, and I know I'm not the only player that thinks that. I know a lot of the other guys were, too."

In my opinion, you keep those thoughts to yourself...especially if you plan on still being with the team. You say stuff like that and you become part of the problem.

He's going to pay for the stance he took and the things he said one way or another. I like the guy but if he's cut or traded I wouldn't be upset after this. Just stupid on his part.
