This guy is by far the best Quarterback we've had in the post-Marino era. The guy led us to 11 wins and a division title, far exceeding the expectations many of us had when we signed him (including myself) and it's hard to believe this team would have won even 5 games this year without Pennington.

Now he came up short today, lets face it. He made a lot of mistakes. He didn't play his best football and thats clear. But playing mistake free football against one of the best defenses in the NFL is no easy feat. How people can turn on the guy after one game, after he played so well and so efficient for the entire season, is beyond me.

So think back to the days of last year before you people want to chase Pennington out of town after his performance today. Chad Henne looks promising, but he's unproven. This team could easily revert back to a disaster if they made such a silly movie.

Pretty funny title. I agree, without Penny, this team wins 5 games MAYBE.

He had a bad game today. That happens when you're getting smacked in the mouth every other play. Lets continue building in the trenches this offseason.

he threw 4 pics! we would of been better off playing the wild cat for 45 plays instead of letting him throw

Yes he had a rough game but this was the biggest game of the year.

I see and hear all the time how without Pennington we don't win 5 games. That is a ridiculous statement because no one knows how Henne will perform. Look at Rothlesberger, Ryan and Flacco in their first seasons. All winners. How can someone know whether or not Henne would win 5 or 15 games having never played an NFL down other than pre-season?

If you think Chad Henne would have led this offense to just 13 turnovers on the season, a HUGE reason that this team won 11 games, you're delusional. The guy is a rookie.

Flacco 12 Int's. Ryan 11 Int's. Thigpen 11 Int's. Rothlisberger (1st Season) 11 Int's Pennington including playoffs this year 11 Int's

How can you say that Henne would throw more or less than 11 Int's without seeing him play. No one can say how many.

Pennington threw 7.....

And only lost 1 fumble.

I don't know how many those guys lost, but i can GUARANTEE Chad Henne wouldn't have accounted for only 8 turnovers in his rookie season in the NFL. Come on.

Pennington threw 11 including todays game. You can't say nor can I how many turnovers Henne would commit. But we do know that Pennington set a Dolphins record today throwing 4 int's in a playoff game.

Don't get me wrong I like Chad P. Great leader but face it. We played a top tier defense today and he couldn't handle it. This is not the first playoff game in his career that he has not shown up.

Pennington's day today had nothing to do with winning 11 games in the regular season though.

I guess you don't know for sure that Henne wouldn't have turned the ball over an equal amount of times as Pennington OR LESS but it's just common sense that he wouldn't have. Chad Pennington was a huge addition to this team, and the primary reason we even made the playoffs, so when i hear these bandwagon clowns crying for him to lose his job after one bad game it annoys me.

Come on Guys Relax, Pennington is fine, and Henne is our Future, if he beats out Pennington in Camp next year he starts period, me thinks Pennington will be under Center Opening Day 2009. Thanks to all Dolphins Players, Coaches and Front Office for getting us back to respectability. Nobody and i mean nobody is looking forward to playing US NEXT YEAR, bet the house on it, WERE BACK DOLFANS!!!

Respect has been earned!!!!
Go Miami.

You're right. We earned some respect this season. Overall, our journey this year was leaps and bounds ahead of where we would expect to be. A young, fresh team (a lot of personnel changes) means it was always going to be tough. We need to build on the team spirit we have shown to perform during the playoffs.

SP16 and Ted: you could argue both cases equally I feel. Before this game, I was happy with picking up CP based on our season success. Yeah, he didn't perform when it mattered most. No point crying over spilts milk. I'm sure it will drive him next season. If he can give CH more time to learn on the sidelines, that can only help us.

This season was a BIG win. Celebrate it!!:hi5:

You wouldn't have been close to postseason w/o him and w/ no running game, no Ol and no WRs how could any QB have done anything yesterday?

The reason Pennington had a bad game out there is the Ravens were killing us in the middle of the line. Both guards and the center were getting beat like a drum all day long. I've been watching football for 37 years and I don't care who your QB is, if he is seeing pressure like that he will turn the ball over.

We all knew what kind of QB Pennington was when he came here. Very smart, hard working and a great leader. We also knew he is limited in arm strength. The truth is there is no way this team wins 7 games with Josh McCown as our QB. Remember him? The guy who was supposed to be our starter this year. I was,and am,thrilled to have Pennington as our QB this year and next year. We all know that is how long he will be here before they start Henne and I don't have a problem with that at all.

Thanks for the great season Chad and the rest of our Miami Dolphins!

Seriously...I hate it when a Jets fan is more knowledgeable than our own dolphin fans...it's pretty annoying.

the ravens front 7 ate our line for lunch...couple that with 2 of our 3 receivers being undrafted rookies...and the other being a struggling ted ginn who has trouble getting separation (against the best D in the league)...I don't understand what he was supposed to do?

Who was he supposed to throw to?

I think there is plenty of blame to go around, yes Penny made some bad decisions, but the interior of the line was a sieve, also we really need better recievers that know how to break off a route and give the QB some help. We all knew these were our weaknesses, and apparently so did the Ravens, they came out with a perfect game plan, and executed it brillliantly. I'm still proud of my phins, and can't wait to see what moves we make in the off season.
