By all accounts Johnson has been the quickest, one of the fastest and easily one of the most impressive WRs in camp. As to you referring to fans of Johnson and his signing as being "groupies and fanboys"- maybe you should get your head out of Nick Saban's lap and invest in some mouthwash before you say such things.

Johnson's wife looks like a complete bitch and a trouble maker. If Johnson did in fact head butt heron purpose, he deserves the jail time and whatever else comes down his way. Exactly, thank you for actually displaying logic. My guess is that he didn't purposefully head butt her, but as you stated and as I gathered from watching "Hard Knocks" and learning a bit more about her online- her mouth, aggression, withholding sex, kicking Johnson out of HIS house, etc. etc.- doesn't bode well for the marriage or his career, and to be more specific it has disaster written all over it. Philbin and the rest of the staff being idiots is yet to be determined. I can find the same question you just asked about every head coach and coaching staff Miami has had the past decade or so.

He's competing against camp scrubs, 6th and 7th round rookies, practice squaders that aren't even able to make an active gameday roster, and a few other receivers who would be fighting for the last receiver spot on any legitimate receiving group in the league.

I couldn't care less what a bunch of beat writers have to say about evaluating football players. A sportswriter has never done me a bit of good. I have to see 'em play. If the practice footage of Hard Knocks revealed anything, it revealed how afraid of contact Chad Johnson was even in practice.

His "quick feet" are going to impress sportswriters running routes in 7-on-7 drills. I don't see where his career achievements are relevant to his ability to be productive for Miami. You can sign a lot of washed up receivers with over 11,000 yards and 70 TD's in their career, but it doesn't mean they can still produce.

He couldn't even produce in the friendliest and most productive passing offense in the league with Tom Brady. He's done as far as being relevant in the NFL and he knows it. The only thing he can be productive at is promoting Chad Johnson's antics.
