sign with an afc east team late in your career and have a career year out of nowhere. wouldnt surprise me at all. and cutler is much better than fitzpatrick.

All I ask is to keep his seat warm enough for a healthy Tannehill to return to.

I think they still need to draft a QB next year though. Just in case, it would be nice to have another QB to groom. Even if Tannehill is fine next year, it'll be good depth and maybe even trade bait later on. Also, if Cutler balls out this season, how do you start Tannehill next year?

Entirely possible. If the defense improves, and we limit his exposure with Ajayi beasting, he can have an efficient year. But I'm not banking on it.

Tannehill is younger and has a higher ceiling imo?? Cutler could very well ball out this season, probably the best talent he's been surrounded by in his career, honestly I think anything short of an AFC title game this year it will be Tannehill's team next year, it would have to be something special... and if it does happen... well i'm just glad i'm not the one making that decision next year...but I still believe and want Tannehill to be the QB.

Cutler = Fitzpatrick. That's pretty accurate, actually. I totally expect us to miss the playoffs because of a few stupid plays by the QB.

It definitely could be a tough decision, but Cutler has a chance to outdo his most efficient season. In 2015, the only WR on their team who had the potential to be dominant was Alshon Jeffery. He was the leading WR with 807 yards and only 4 TDs. Martellus Bennett, a TE, was the 2nd leading receiver with 439 yards and 3 TDs. He'll have more opportunities to make plays with this unit.

I think it was 2012 when the Bears started the season 9-3 then Cutler got hurt and lost the last four games? I am in no way crazy over the Cutler signing but Chicago may have gone far in the playoffs that year.
