J.James- 3.5mill He has probably been the most consistent O line guy we have this year. But is he really worth this much $$

J.T. - 6.5mill Worth every Penny, but will he be willing to restructure for the good of the team and a chance at a SB

Z.T. - 5.8mill Same as above

Madison- 6.3mill Not worth this much money. I am not saying that Sam is not a good CB, but with the inevitable aging that is taking place, and the fact that he does not fit into Saban's defense as good as Jim Bates he is not worth this kind of money.

Howard - 3.0mill This guy will not be a Dolphin next year. I don;t want to see him at the nickle spot, or safety, or anywhere.

Mare - 2.1mill this is another player not worth the money he is being payed. He is no longer automatic, therefor he should not be making this kind of cash.

Seau - 2.0 Thank you for your services, you should be in Canton your first year of eligibility. Thanks again.

These 7 guys(13% of the 53 man roster) are 34% of our cap space this year. Contracts usually increase per year so that should be almost 40% next year. I really hope that J. James, JT, Madison, and ZT restructure, the Dolphins would not be the same without them (except Jeno). Mare, Howard, and Seau I do not see being Dolphins next year. Mare and Seau will be sad to see go, but Howard will be one less connection to the dark days.

What do you guys see playing out??

James-Yes

Zacharia- Same as JT...

Both more likely to restructure before they have a heartattack from old age... 31 and 32... playing that strong? Even the Enegizer Bunny can only last for so long ( On a side note... how long have they each been in the league?)

Good information, thanks. IMO Zach and JT having proven they can more then fit to Saban's defensive scheme but also excel in it, worth the money will stay and probably not even restructure. J James - I didn't know he was making that much so I hadn't thought about it. Sam is either going to restructure or go, can anyone confirm his agent is now Drew Rosenthal (sp) ? Once again we dealt our best CB last year and it could happen again this year. Howard ha ha he's gone. Mare I think will stay, we all know he has consistency issues but just IMO. Seau will restructure hopefully incentive based - play get paid.
 
Mare may not be worth 2 million. But he's worth keeping because of his kickoffs make our already good coverage team look even better.

Look at Donnie Jones and Keith Traylor, you don't have to overpay players that are not performing like they should be. The Wanny and Speil days are over. NO MORE WASTING CAP SPACE OR DRAFT PICKS.

Exactly... Mare this year has not earned what he's been payed.... granted his still a good kicker, but not worth that...
 
imo Zach, JT and Sam will re-estructure. They're getting old and they probably wanna stay, cause they are already set here, rich(:D) and miami's looking as a good place to get a ring, with all this "I wanna play for the phins" frenezy..Specially zach and taylor, they are team guys and it will be slowly discussed. As for Sam I think it will be more like: do it or hit the door. and he'll do it imo.

I think mare will remain with the same contract

jeno james i have no idea..i guess he might do it if asked to take a small pay-cut, don't know
 
Madison will take a paycut(hopefully), Howard ......well we have a saying in the south "Don't let the door hit ya' where the good Lord split ya'", Zach and JT are worth every penny and should be left alone. We are in good shape and asking those two to restructure wouldnt be for the good of the team it would just be so we could have more money. As great as it was seeing Seau in a Fins uniform I think he is done at least here. He hasnt made it through a full season in two years, and is making too much money. Mare needs to cut that salary in half or get to steppin', and dont give me that who will we get arguement. I heard the same one about Turk, and now the better question is "Turk who???" as Saban went out and got a castoff and turned him in to a Pro Bowl Punter(I believe hes an alternate). As for Jeno you cant ask basically your most consistant O-lineman to take a paycut in a year where we will have between 12 and 25 million depending on who you ask.
