Hey who do you guys think will get cut from the 2006 draft if any?

I think either evan or rodrique wright one of them will get cut for sure and thats about it I don't see no one else getting cut.

Rod Wright will not be cut because he wont be evaluated because of his injury. He will probaly be placed on IR. Evans and Aromashadu both have a chance of being cut, as do practically every 6th or 7th round draft pick. In my opinion, they will both have to really impress to make the team.

No way those guys get cut, too much potential, besides aromo signed a 4 year deal...

The only player i see getting cut is fred evans because of all the DT's we have. Manny Wright, Jeff Zgonina, Kieth traylor are pretty much guarenteed a roster spot. Then theres Fred Evans, Rod Wright, Kevin Vickerson, Howard Green, Josh Shaw and Steve Figita fighting for a roster spot, And theres the possibility of signing Wilkinson.

Evans has a motor that just won't quit, I see him as one of those overlooked gems that played at a small school. Zagonias job may be in jeaperdy, I see those guys fighting for 2 spots, mainly Evans, Vickerson and Figita and I rank them in that order. I see Rod Wright spending a year on the PUP list and supplanting Traylor next year.

Agree with everytthing except Wright replacing Traylor, Traylor is 6`2` 335 pounds while Rod is 6`4` 305 pounds, Traylor is a NT while Rod is a one gap DT/DE pretty much like backing up Holliday...Once he is back from his shoulder surgery...

Ok, so maybe Manuel Wright takes over that spot, I meant he pushes Traylor out of a roster spot. Wright and Wright could be our future middle tandem for a long time.

Traylor is retiring after this year. He said before he signed with us that he wanted to play two more years then hang it up. He maintained that timeline once again in a press comment this off season. After 2006, he's done...nobody will be 'supplanting' him because he'll be retiring on his own.

I agree with this. Some coaches approach it differently, but I think Nick Saban does not draft a guy unless he fully intends on keeping him on the roster...and that includes Aromashodu. To me, the 4 year deal reinforces that belief. Because of that, for now I'm predicting 6 WRs make the roster.

If Nick Saban knew that for all intents and purposes Devin Aromashodu only makes the roster if there is an injury, IMO there would be no sense signing him to a 4 year deal and giving him like a $90k bonus, when you could have signed him to a 3 year deal and given him only a $70k bonus. We're not talking about a lot of cap acceleration, but money is still money and cutting the former when you could have signed him to the latter is just like throwing $20k in the trash.

I doubt it. They all have a shot, but I'd be surprised if they all made it on the
regular roster, especially Evans. I think that they will all at least make the practice squad, but then they would have to be cut first and then clear waivers.
